The best restaurants serving Default food in Waddingham and Spital West Lindsey East Midlands

We took a table for two for the seafood menu, which was £20 a head. The service was good throughout, despite the restaurant being full, so credit to the staff for that. The salmon blinis, the crab rolls they were ok, and the calamari that was fantastic, the highlight of the night. The mains of mussels was really disappointing though. The mussels themselves were the smallest I've ever eaten, many in my dish being about 1cm to 1.5cm in length. The sauce they ere cooked in was acceptable, taste is a personal thing, so for me it was a little heavy, less cream and more white wine needed, perhaps. But that's personal as I said. A bit sad that the evening was let down by the mussels, but I have to concede that many other guests were enjoying their meal. I'd have given 3.5 if I could have.

Fantastic home cooking in a super comfy pub with a very warm welcome. We called in for coffee and stayed for a lovely lunch by the roaring log burning stove. The landlady could not have done anymore to make us super welcome. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We will make sure the crown is now our favorite pit stop on the way to the seaside

New owners only took over less than a week ago, even so everything, service and food worked well. The menu simple but tasty and friendly staff. Thursday was pizza for £10, a good selection of toppings and a large pizza. The place was very busy. Well supported by locals which is ale]ways a good sign! Would recommend

Cracking carvery this Sunday, straight in and sat at our table. It’s been a long time since we last came on a Sunday and it not feel so hectic and unorganised, lovely smiley staff and tasty fresh food.

We are regular visitors to Trent Port and have to say ALL the staff are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. So it pains me to report that our meal today was nothing short of inedible. The roasties were greasy and mushy, the mash lumpy, the veg dried up and the Yorkshires were overcooked. In contrast the turkey was delicious. I don't know what happened but come on Trent Port, there are numerous eateries make us want to come back.
