Place has rapidly gone down hill... serving raw chicken satay is a joke, other food was cold and when we contacted the restaurant the lady was just out and out rude.... Strongly recommend people avoid As you can see the restaurant have replied by basically calling me a liar. This service is extremely poor and insulting, to suggest I wanted to eat for free is rude and very unprofessional. We called the restaurant to discuss this diplomatically and the lady was so rude and hung up on us. I would never expect to eat for free as I understand a business is business, I just wanted to make the restaurant aware of the issues I had!.... So disappointed by this. So so rude it's actually unbelievable.

Really not impressed. We threw 50% of our food away. The noodle and rice dishes were fine, but that's about it. Their sweet and sour sauce isn't like what you'd usually see from a takeaway or Chinese restaurant. It's unappetising. The chicken balls are roughly 80% batter will tiny strips of chicken. These small stripes are also used in the satay starter, but drowned in sauce. Poor value. The pork dumplings were probably the least edible dish. The casing was like cardboard and the inside really bland. 5 of a portion of 6 were binned. Bring back China Chef in Westbrook

Where to begin. Tonight 3 adults paid £82 for the most memorable evening we've had for a long time. Agree with previous reviews that the menu is very confusing and "all you can eat" premise is bizarre. The waitress asked if we wanted individual or sharing sizes, but as the menu is very clear that you will be charged for leftover food we cautiously ordered small amounts. The starters were passable, crackers & dip, chicken satay, salt & pepper chicken and dry ribs were cooked OK but sauces poor, tasteless and very fatty ribs. The plates were cleared while we were still eating. The duck course was probably the best course, not bad but mains were dire. Crispy chilli beef was just greasy puffs of batter, no beef detected anywhere and sauce quite gritty. Lemon chicken was 3 dry nuggets with watery sauce. King po chicken was not spicy, cold. Chow mein was reasonable but full of mushrooms that looked like inflated tics and the egg rice had a single discernable piece of egg and lukewarm - we didn't dare eat much. Thankfully no Heston fishiness as previously mentioned but the night is still young! To top it off, at the end of the meal the waitress informed that the card machine wasn't working so we would have to send a bank transfer to a personal account. Not a problem for us but another customer wasn't able to bank transfer so when his taxi arrived, the staff insisted he take a taxi to a cash point, return to pay his bill then continue his journey home. In essence: very poor food, zero customer service and blunt staff, definitely won't return or recommend to anyone. Go to Penninsula in St Peters if you want a decent sit-in Chinese.
