The best restaurants serving British food in Vale Stroud South West

I live locally and walk past it regularly at different times, I seldom see it open! But my main problem with this pub is that IT NO LONGER ACCEPTS MONEY IN PAYMENT FOR ANYTHING! one can only pay by card in this place? A lovely little country pub, in the middle of nowhere, doing practically no business...decided it would go cash free. Fancy a pint and a soft drink, probably under a tenner...Sorry , WE DON'T TAKE CASH...You're a country pub on a side lane near Berkeley!! not harrods or a central London mega store...who's stupid idea was it to insult whatever little custom you had left with this stupid move? I just head for the Berkeley Arms now , where most of your other custom's gone...WHERE THEY TAKE ENGLISH MONEY IN AN ENGLISH COUNTRY PUB!

Went for lunch to catch up with friends and all four of us were very impressed with the service, food and value for money? We will return.
