Top Nosh provided a savoury offer for our Christmas Event and were a pleasure to work with. Martin was quick to respond to any questions and helpful in advising on pitch location and practicalities. The food is superb quality and the wagu burgers were quoted as the best people had ever had! Delicious warming vegan curry (with chips and a bhaji!) was perfect for a cold evening and I can't wait to try their food again! Thank you Martin, Julia & Georgia. Lightbox Gallery, Woking

We have visited The Spotted Cow many times over the years and have always enjoyed great food and excellent customer service. Sadly, today’s experience was incredibly disappointing. We arrived for our booking to find our table wasn’t ready. This wasn’t a problem — we ordered some drinks while we waited. However, 25 minutes later, the table was still unavailable. Once we were finally seated, we placed our orders and initially things seemed to be going smoothly, albeit with noticeably slow service. At that point, we were still hopeful. Unfortunately, the food arrived cold. Two roast dinners were served without any gravy. The children’s meal was also cold and had an odd taste, as did the burger. My pizza was undercooked with solid, unmelted chunks of cheese. Being 26 weeks pregnant, I have to be particularly careful with what I eat. Thankfully, the pizza wasn’t something that would make me unwell. A member of staff checked on us after just one bite, but we didn’t see anyone again. We requested gravy, and only one small jug was brought out — barely enough for one person. We also ordered a drink for one of the children, which never arrived. The roast dinners were extremely small and fatty — just a few bits of meat and a single parsnip. Absolutely not worth the price. A small glass of wine cost over £8, and we weren’t able to order more than one pineapple juice as there was only one bottle left. Service was so slow that keeping a toddler entertained became increasingly difficult. We felt compelled to raise our concerns. However, the response from a gentleman in a shirt (possibly a manager or the owner) was, “Well, you should have complained earlier.” When we explained our reasons for waiting, he was incredibly dismissive. He offered 20% off the bill, which only removed the service charge. Following this, the waitresses became noticeably frosty towards our table. I was still eating when they began clearing plates around me. One of the waitresses then walked off while making a comment about us, which was clearly unprofessional. This visit was a huge disappointment, especially as some of our family had travelled a long way to join us. We have always loved coming to this pub and so have they. The way we were treated today was simply unacceptable. We don’t usually complain, but the poor quality of the food and service needed to be addressed. Sadly, we won’t be returning again.
