The best restaurants serving British food in Blewbury and Upton Vale of White Horse South East

Wow what can I say- such a wonderful weekend. A real treat to be able to spend the weekend in such a beautiful part of the world with a fantastic host. Amazing food- particularly the porridge at breakfast and they even stock lactose free milk! The apples from the tree in the garden were delicious. The host Kathryn made me feel right at home, providing me with slippers and a hot water bottle. What more could you want?! I thoroughly enjoyed the walks nearby and the amazing train links from the local station really do make life easier. I can’t wait to stay again. It’s the gateway to the Cotswolds!

This was our second visit to The George. The first time we went for Brunch and had a superb meal, yes it isn’t cheap but then they are supporting local producers and you have high quality ingredients which I would prefer. This time we went for lunch from the bar menu and all agreed that our meals were delicious, served hot and good value for money. I think the staff are wonderful and really looked after us as a party of mixed ages. We are going back tonight and have high hopes for the restaurant menu. Great to have a local pub like this on our doorstep - we wish you well.
