The best restaurants serving British food in Barcombe and Hamsey Lewes South East

Went to this lovely pub on 20th December for a staff Christmas dinner. We received a very warm welcome from the wonderful bar staff. Our drinks were kept flowing all evening and the food was absolutely superb. The staff went over and above to make sure all tastes were catered for even providing a starter that was not on the set menu. We really appreciated your warm and attentive service and all staff members agreed that they would definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful start to the Christmas holidays for a bunch of weary teachers - its been a long term !!!!!

Excellent home made steak and kidney pudding on the menu today which was delicious. Our sausage baguette was very good too. The bread was very tasty and sausage was very high quality. Loved sitting out in the dun next to the river. Service friendly and helpful.
