The best restaurants serving British food in Heatons South Stockport North West

Great little pub hidden away in Heaton Norris but well worth searching out. Live sport, great beer and lovely beer garden over looking the bowling green. It’s recently reopened after a refurb and it’s been money well spent!

This is the third time we have popped in for lunch. I have also been with a couple of girlfriends for a catch-up & lunch. Price of lunch menu is reasonable & the food is always tasty & well made. Sea bass with greens & mash; linguini with king prawns; cheese & onion pie today. Individual pie with a good pastry & a flavoursome cheese. Husband had a burger from the main menu ) again!) This must be the third time I have ordered the apple & rhubarb crumble & custard. Absolutely delicious! Husband who claims he does not like or eat deserts helped himself to mine !🤷‍♀️ Excellent car parking; very good food; place immaculate & pleasant service. Pity there were so few people eating. Try it! Worth the visit.👍

We came in for a family lunch and were really well looked after by the busy staff but the food was really poor. The roast was generous but lacked flavour, watery gravy, lumpy mash and a flat Yorkshire pudding were all below par. The chicken burger was dry and overcooked and the kids sausages tasted very odd, not sure where the sausages are from but they had a strong game like flavour even though I was assured they were pork. Such a shame as the pub is great and the staff were friendly
