The best restaurants serving British food in Clayton-le-Woods and Whittle-le-Woods Chorley North West

Passing by whilst visiting a relative we stopped and asked for a table , all were reserved ( not surprisingly ) but they found us a table for two without any hassle , menus brought out quickly and drinks were served to us , a pot of tea and a really nice cup of coffee , we both ordered the sandwich and soup at £9 , waited no more than 10 minutes and it was brought to our table , i was amazed at the quality of the soup , thick , hot and tasty ( stilton and broccoli ) , loads of salad with the sandwich and mine was handcarved turkey with stuffing and cranberry , absolutely delicous and great value for money , we bought 2 cakes to takeaway , they were also fantastic and great value , everything about this place is high quality , the food , the service , the traditional menu , the cosy atmosphere , what a cracking find .

First time to Elliot’s Bistro and we really enjoyed it. Nice ambiance for Christmas followed by a great meal, absolutely delighted. Well done to all the team including the really nice friendly staff and all the kitchen team.

Visited Allamby's Restaurant on Sunday 13th October with friends. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. The service and the meal was excellent. We had starters, main meal and dessert, everything was cooked perfectly and service very professional. Afterwards we had drinks in the restaurant bar and again very professional and service with a smile, the barman made excellent Expresso Martinis. We were so impressed with the meal and service that the four of us booked for New Years Eve while we were there and we will definitely be back for Sunday Lunch. We highly recommend this restaurant.
