The best restaurants serving British food in Ulgham Northumberland North East

I have visited this pub for many years and now find that the meals and staff are hit and miss. My wife used to love the homemade pie and now that is non-existent. Such a lovely pub that should be packed to the brim but have noticed over the last year the car park is never full like previously.

I ordered the beef chilli nachos for around £5 - it was served in a little box which was filled with nachos smothered in lovely salsa, chilli and guacamole. It was lovely, too much for me to finish off...so i took the rest home for later. and the moretti is only £3.50 so what's not to like

Very little gluten free options for cakes. Surely in this day and age all dietary requirements should be catered for. Called at the smaller cafe, nothing gluten free apart from overpriced bought in items. Went to main restaurant and again disappointed as no fresh cream cakes available that were gluten free, only option was a quarter of a carrot cake, not the best but nothing else. Overpriced, luckily had our free coffees to compensate. Although this branch is closing they should check with the Ponteland branch as there's always plenty of gluten free choices there. Won't renew Dobbies Card.
