The best restaurants serving British food in Bishop Auckland Town County Durham North East

Stopped off for a bite & bought a piece of cheese & onion quiche & a couple of corned beef slices, the quiche just melted in my mouth, so tasty & moist & absolutely huge, as for the corned beef slice, it’s a meal in itself, delicious, prefer the non corner bits as too much pastry, as others have said, do but local, must better than anything you can get in the supermarkets!

Sadly, this is not the first cold breakfast we have had here. Plates cold, poached eggs lukewarm warm, runny and just not what you expect to be honest from a cafe of this calibre. Staff are nice enough but I think the whole place needs a good Revamp and deep clean and please make sure that the food is hot. If the food is cooked prior to serving it should be kept at a temperature or re cooked at a true temperature. The black pudding was so crispy it couldn’t be eaten. There is such a lot of competition in to town and surrounding areas nowadays, such a shame

Lovely place to eat. Staff very friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble.food very good portions and very reasonable priced. Kid friendly. Highly recommended.

Waited over an hour for food when we were told 25mins when ordering. Had to leave and get a refund due to tight timelines Lost of other people having the same issues with food and drink orders They should have suspended app orders if they can’t fulfil them in a timely manner. Maybe a one off but not a good experience
