The best restaurants serving British food in Sydenham Lewisham London

I’ve had two incredible lunches at Leo this week. The Gouda, cream cheese and burnt leek rosemary focaccia toastie was so good that I just had to go back. The next day I tried the scrambled eggs on toast. Wow! I had no idea that scrambled eggs could be so delicious and full of such interesting flavours. Leo is a happy, vibrant place to enjoy a relaxing, unhurried lunch and everyone working there was very friendly and welcoming.

Was not impressed by this place. During my visit, it was clear that the staff were overwhelmed and/or under qualified. Multiple customers reminded staff to bring them the bill, I saw x2 tables cancel their food as it took too long. You may wonder how I saw all this... It took 15 minutes for my cup of tea to arrive and then another 30 minutes before the arrival of my english breakfast. My breakfast was ok, but my colleagues' breakfast was poor, and it had to be sent back as it was missing the eggs on the unbuttered English Muffins... Lots of potential, and the staff were friendly, but it needs a serious shake-up.

It’s a nice place but they should clean the tables as they are extremely sticky. We have been there several times but the cleanliness of the tables is putting us a bit off
