Simply put, the breakfast I had today at The Plumstead Pantry was nothing short of exceptional – easily the best breakfast I’ve ever experienced in the entire Greenwich Borough, and dare I say, one of the finest Full English breakfasts in all of London! From the moment the food arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t just any ordinary breakfast. Every element was crafted with care, using top-quality ingredients: perfectly toasted sourdough, crispy bacon, juicy Lincolnshire pork sausages, and earthy mushrooms. But it’s the attention to detail that truly blew me away. Each bite was a symphony of flavors. The small yet thoughtful touches elevated the entire experience – a delicate gherkin alongside the butter, the beans (which resembled butter beans) in a proper, rich tomato puree, mushrooms cooked to perfection in garlic butter, and the most beautifully crispy hash browns. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an explosion of flavors with every forkful. The perfectly crafted oat milk cappuccino was the cherry on top – rich, creamy, and the ideal accompaniment to a breakfast that simply smashed all expectations. Words really don’t do this place justice – it’s one of those spots where you need more than one visit to fully appreciate the mastery behind each dish. Wir kamen auf Empfehlung eines Freundes zum Sunday Roast. Der Pub liegt abseits der Touristengebiete in einem Wohngebiet. Der Weg hierher lohnt sich aber wirklich. Die Speisekarte ist recht klein. Zum Sunday Roast gibt es die Wahl zwischen Schwein, Rind, Lamm, Hähnchen und Kassler. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit einen gemischten Teller (z.B. Rind, Schwein, Lamm) zu wählen. Das Gericht kommt mit sehr viel Gemüse, Soße und Kartoffeln. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist typisch Pub. Auf dem Fernseher läuft Sport. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.
