The best restaurants serving American food in Lansdown Cheltenham South West

LA Smokehut serves up generous portions of classic American barbecue. The barbecue burnt ends are dark and rich, just as they should be. The brisket is meltingly tender and the animal fries, well they were a meal in themselves. The only surprise was that the place wasn't busier. Definitely worth going there before word gets out.

We had booked a birthday party with 13 people, beefy boys did an amazing job. All burgers where amazing. My partner has allergies and had an amazing gluten free + diary free burger. The staff was knowledgeable, and the alternative burger was ammmaaazing. 5/5 great burger we will be back

I got the beef burger with bone marrow and my family were sharing a big steak together. The meat was lovely and very nicely cooked! The chips were nothing special and the lemon tart was sadly not the best. The atmosphere is nice but it was lacking in coat hanger/bag dropping locations and the service took quite a long time with having to ask to get our plates taken for dessert. The white port was lovely and overall it was nice!

Not a bad meal, but I’m afraid it’s not what it once was. The burgers are extremely average now (doesn’t taste like it’s been barbecued and merely just put in a pan) and the menu is less inspired overall with limited vegetarian options. the slaw is more like coleslaw. The atmosphere and the staff are still helpful (although there were two or three omissions / errors from our order). The thing is, we all come back for the food so my advice is to get back to the basics. For me this would be to ensure the burgers can compete with beefy boys and possibly go back to the shoestring fries. Although you can’t keep the same items forever I was disappointed not to see the Milanese as an option. Not bad, but no longer a go to place.

Had a great evening watching the football with friends, was really lively! Thank you to both Jordan Harry and Jess for their collective service, me and my friends had a laugh and a great evening.

Slow service, food cold, missing items from order took forever to sort out. Tables dirty. Staff haven’t got a clue
