The best restaurants in Llangynidr Powys Mid Wales

I have been coming to this Pub for years as my Mum lived in the village for 25 + years before she died. The new owner has clearly invested in the accomodation and we recently stayed. The rooms were very comfortable, modern and clean. The food and drink as always was excellent. For me though the cherry on the cake is the pub atmosphere, full of lovely local people and very welcoming. This feels like a true local to me and it is over 200 miles away for me! Well done to all involved a true diamond of a pub in the middle of the Brecon Beacons. Highly recommended.

Excellent brunch, fast polite service. Lovely food and very reasonably priced. We will return!!! Nice area around, all locals very friendly. Parking close by.

Had read some negative reviews so weren't expecting great things but it was in the right place at the right time (lunchtime) whilst walking the canal so we thought we'd give it a go. What a pleasant surprise. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. We both had curries which are served half and half (half rice, half chips). The curries were good but the chips were some of the nicest we've had anywhere. We were impressed enough to order chocolate brownies which were good rather than spectacular. Overall, a very pleasant experience with friendly, prompt and efficient service. We would be happy to go back.
