The best restaurants in Llandrinio Powys Mid Wales

I had just finished a section of Offa's Dyke path with a friend and really needed a sit down and something to drink whilst we waited for a bus- we were directed to Lynne's Coffee Shop and spent an hour or so there- lovely coffee, scones and crumpets and a wonderful warm welcome. We would have tried the tempting sausage casserole had we not eaten a full English breakfast 3 hours earlier! Brilliant, we'll be back when we do the next section in the spring.

Lovely cafe with great cake and drinks. The pies looked very appetising too, but we had already eaten.

We came here on Friday as visitors to the area. Myself my friend x2 children and a dog. We had a beautiful dinner complimented by some nice drinks. I didn't have high expectations when walking in as a first impression but I was soon convinced it was lovely. The man behind the bar / the chef / possibly the owner was super helpful really polite and we had a beautiful fresh cooked HUGE dinner. £60 for all of is with food & drinks! Would 100% recommend. Drove the half hour out to this place because of the excellent reviews, family of five, food was OK, roasts hard but not crunchy, no mash potatoes or peas which was disappointing, my 11 year old daughter only wanted two Yorkshire puddings and gravey, we where initially charged for an adults carvary for this which is £14.95 she is under 12 so should have only been charged £9.95, I brought this up when paying the bill, it was changed to £3.95. 4 adult carverys, 4 pints of Pepsi, 2 pints of lime and soda and half a lemonade, 2 deserts came to £88.25.

Very friendly pub and good food. However, the website says kitchen open at 5 for eat in and takeaway, but regularly the staff don't arrive until 5 or 5.30 and transit is not warmed up so recently waited anything from 45 mins to an hour for takeaway really evening. Either turn up on time or change the kitchen opening hours!!

Went for Xmas lunch with a big group. I can't fault anything. It's a warm and cosy pub with excellent food, friendly, efficient service and great value. Starters and puds were served to the table. We went up to the carvery for mains. All the food is fresh, hot and delicious. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch last week with my daughter and grandchildren. Roast was so good, I would would highly recommend it. The staff very friendly and could not do enough for us. We will definitely go back.
