The best restaurants in Gwernyfed Powys Mid Wales

We went in as a family of 5 with a wheelchair (having to turned back from another pub which we couldn't get the chair in). We loved it from the moment we walked in - the SA flag on the wall did help, as the well as the Halloween decorations - madly busy but fantastic fun. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food, although a long wait , it was exceptionally fantastic - obviously made to order too! Look forward to returning, hopefully at Christmas.

If you like books Hay on Wye is the place to visit, better off season.

Very nice, everything is very nice and helpful, the staff is also very nice and helpful.

We were their first evening customers in the restaurant, a good menu, simple easy pub food which we enjoyed, a tad expensive, £4.20 for a can of Guinness 00 and £19 for Pie of the day, but it was full of meat and tasty gravy with a flaky pastry lid. Lois served us and managed the bar, she was friendly and provided great service.
