A foodie friend had a milestone birthday and so I decided to book lunch for us to eat here as a belated celebration. We booked without too much of a wait and had the most delicious meal. As an amuse-bouche, we started with cream of cauliflower soup with ginger and curry with two different home-made breads. We then happened to choose the same menu - cheese soufflé with a pesto and baby tomato base, followed by duck breast with pancetta, seasonal vegetables, potato dauphinoise and a bacon gravy. For dessert, we both had passion fruit mousse with a coulis of mango and chopped mango, orange sorbet and mint and chocolate feuille as decoration. Finally, we were given petit fours of shortbread, dehydrated raspberry on a slice of dark chocolate and tablet. All washed down with wine for one and tomato juice for the other (and water). The restaurant was full, but not crowded. The ambience was that of a family gathering and it was clear that some were repeat visitors. That in itself underlines the quality of the fare. Keith served with discretion and a gentle smile. We didn't meet Mary, but the team was clearly functioning to its highest level. We both came away feeling very happy with our experience. Thank you.

We visited during covid times for a takeaway coffee and cake. Excellent selection of cakes and excellent service with a smile. Best Victoria Sponge I've had in ages! Great value as well. Will definitely be back to try more! Also very well done during Covid - was takeaway only when we visited, with a plastic screen at the door.

Food, cakes and drinks with a Polish twist. It is nice to support a local independent business. Everything is made to a high standard. The couple who run it are lovely and they have created a nice ambiance. I took two cakes home they were so delicious.

Delicious coffee and scones with amazing friendliness from the ladies serving. Can’t wait to return. Tables were filling up fast. Only on street parking is available but not a great issue.

Amazing spot next to a wonderful beach! Me and my 7 year old came down for a wee walk around and then realised how lovely the beach was and how nice the day was so went back and got my wife and 2 year old. Had a flat white the first time I was there and served by a very friendly lady had a little chat about her menu. Tacos aren’t something you can find anywhere in Dunbar so when I returned later my wife we got the beef tacos and a few tins of juice and I have to say there where absolutely lovely! The kind lady (owner I think) also brought them down onto the beach for us while I was setting up with our young ones! 100% will be back again and telling people about you guys! Keep up the great work!

Went in just to see what it was like. What lovely staff and the food is freshly prepared and cheap. If the community get behind it the place could be fantastic. Definitely going back.

Esta visita fue con tres amigos que nunca ha estado aquí antes y todos estaban muy impresionados, no sólo con la común (una preciosa casa privada) sino también la bastante variedad de comida deliciosamente delicado.

Beautiful food, friendly staff and the cheese cake is to die for. 10/10. I have ordered for delivery on a Saturday in 3 occasions and every time it's hot, if you order stake pie the pastry comes in a little bag not to get crushed in transport. It's just the little things.

Amazing cafe with food to suit everyone. Staff have a great attitude and a real warmth towards their customers. Best cappuccino I have had and homemade soup was gorgeous. Finished off with a delicious slice of lemon cake , . Try it you won’t regret it ❤️😍

We stayed in this hotel for six nights, and there are lots of other restaurants in Haddington... But the King's was so good that we didn't bother to try any others - the first time I've never eaten outside the hotel during a stay... Soooo good!

Great food, superb staff. Starters, so many to choose from. I plumped for the bees bau bun, my wife Haggis bon bons and marmalade sauce. Both were superb, the bau bun was soft, filled with superb, tender, tasty beef. The haggis with marmalade sauce was equally impressive. Mains... The wife had mussels, good sized portion and very tasty. I plumped for the burger. I love a good burger, but often the disappoint. Not here though. Really good burger, pickles, chips and a proper tasty coleslaw. No room for pudding. Beer was well kept and tasty. Thumbs up from the wife for the pornstar martinis. The staff were really friendly and made the night, as dis the epic 80s playlist. Well worth a visit.
