The best restaurants in Scotland

My wife and I visited Donna’s Harbour Cafe, Shore Road, Perth for the first time on Wednesday the 30th of October 2024. We were greeted by the very friendly Donna (the owner) and we all enjoyed a bit of banter. There was so much choice of food that it was hard to decide what to order, but I chose a Frankfurter in a Bun with plenty of Fried Onions and my wife had the awesome homemade Macaroni and Cheese with a generous portion of chips. Our meals were well cooked and very tasty for a reasonable price and served with a lovely smile. This Cafe is very clean and the tables are nicely set out. The Harbour Cafe has a great atmosphere to dine in because it’s relaxed and informal with free parking available. My wife and I would highly recommend Donna’s Harbour Cafe. Never in Hamilton!! attending daughters dance show we spotted this coffee shop on the way to the venue and popped in for a take away during the shows interval. Its a fabby/trendy looking place with a certain clientele. Staff are attentive and on it. Coffee and whatever my 12 yr old had was very good. A decent bean. Chocolate treats all look appealing and expensive. We left wondering who pays £9 for a bar of chocolate. We popped back in for a couple of kids marshmallow treats at the end of the show and the kids even told their mum about the treats and the price of the chocolate bar. seasonal stuff like valentines treats on offer, a pleasant atmosphere and great coffee. Just a pity its not closer for us but have told loads of people.

Spur of the moment decision proved a great choice as we enjoyed a lovely fresh, tasty lunch at Clarets in the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre. Excellent views over the golf course and the River Dee. Service was first class, food excellent. All in all a really above par choice to visit. Won’t be the last time!

Great food fast delivery. Chilli chips are a must if you like spice 🥵Kashmiri korma and mushroom rice delicious 😋 chicken and Brie pakoras amazing ordered some mango chutney to go with them 👍

The breakfast is awesome and made with love. It was the best breakfast of our whole stay in Scotland. Great!

For a treat we ordered deserts from Sadie’s, they were delivered by the owner, what a lovely girl she is and WOW there deserts were delishious and we will certainly be ordering from them again

Popped in for some food and coffee. We had the sausage roll and the Cornish pastie with chorizo. The food hit the spot it was lovely and warm and the coffee was excellent. Place was very busy and managed to get table inside. Also had a lovely rhubarb slice of cake which was just yummy.

What a great find - real coffee and service to match. We had cake and filled rolls ( freshly baked on site) ,bacon from the butcher next door. Proper ground coffee with a real taste to it. Judging from the the number of people eating , it is always busy. Congratulations to Alex on a well run café. We will return as often as possible.

Nos mudamos a Southside hace poco más de un año y Toro ha sido un gran hallazgo! El personal más encantador, el mejor café y los pasteles, pasteles y pan son maravillosos. Un domingo normal por la mañana para nosotros, simplemente brillante!

Used Just Eat to place our lunch order with Low’s for the first time. Was delighted with both the food and the quick delivery. It was only a quick lunch of hot dogs and chips but everything was hot and tasty. The young lady who delivered our order was polite and friendly. Will definitely use again.

First time in Leven, wanted a bite to eat - came across Oscars. Lovely mug of coffee (nice and strong); followed by a bacon roll for me and a BLT for Himself. All absolutely delicious, and fresh - bread not just good, excellent!

The hotel is in a very priviliged situation overlooking the bay of Loch Duart. The hospitality service is great and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Some of the decoration misses the final touch, i.e the wintergarden, the reception area. But it is still a very recommendable address.

Wonderful little cafe hidden away but serving excellent coffee in a pleasant atmosphere. The couple serving were friendly and efficient. Would happily return.
