We had an absolutely amazing time at the floating boat house! It was the perfect peaceful escape we were looking for—warm, cozy, and incredibly relaxing. The space is thoughtfully designed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was spotless when we arrived, which made it feel even more inviting. The location is a dream for anyone looking to disconnect from the world. The lack of strong phone signal actually became a blessing, allowing us to truly unwind and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. Getting to the boat house was easy, and we were thrilled that the host allowed us to bring our dog along, making it a perfect getaway for the whole family. What made our stay truly magical was the snowfall during our visit, which added a fairytale-like charm to the experience. Watching the swans come right up to the boathouse and observing the abundant wildlife around us was such a treat. It felt like being in a storybook! If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to recharge and reconnect with nature, this is the place to go. We can’t recommend it enough and are already looking forward to returning. Thank you to the wonderful host for creating such a special haven!

Visited lough Erne last weekend with my partner - room 125 under Devlin. I have always wanted to stay here as I often enjoy the historical sites in Enniskillen like Florencecourt. We stayed on sat night - checked in around 3.30pm so not to late - No door-man at all....so had to drag out our suitcases and no doorman even at the time of check-in so we had to carry our own suitcase to room. Any 5 star hotel who doesn't have a door-man is seriously lacking attention to detail. We checked in - and room was overall very nice. We had lough view room. The room was very warm considering I did turn off the heating but was still very warm and bathroom - for me thats fine as I like it warm - mid 20'sc but for anyone else this wouldn't be ok. We did a nice walk around the hotel estate and after went to the lounge area for drinks - Major issues here - 1. all young staff 19 year olds - anywhere that has largely such young staff in 5 star is always red flags for me as they obviously don't know or understand 5 star customer service. For example she brought us cheese board - no napkins or knife..saying that there was also 4 crackers so my partner had to go looking for her. The lounge area felt like being in a mums house - rather than a relaxing hotel lounge. The bar and lounge are next door so overall this area feels very small to stay in. After that I wanted to dine in the formal dining restaurant - I booked the grill but after seeing the 3 star reviews on it I didn't wish to dine there - I also see they changed the menu for the formal restaurant which suited me much better being pisctarian - HOWEVER when I looked at this restaurant before staying the menu was completely different. They told me they are fully booked - so I went to the grill room. The grill room NEEDS FULLY CLOSED ASAP. I would not allow another 1 person to go there if I was management. Food is so bad they can't even get a standard vegan burger right. Bill was around £130 for the worst steak my partner ever had and the worst burger I have ever had. We then went to the bar as they said music started at 9pm. The guy singing was good however he finished at 9.55pm....so we were left with zero entertainment on a Saturday night. Again the service in bar was all 19 year olds..I asked for grapefruit in gin - didn't bring it..then said she would get some and there is none. So I said thats ok I don't want drink..within 5 mins she found grapefruit. I wasn't being fussy but I drink gin with the correct garnish. Sunday morning - I had breakfast in the room as I couldn't be bothered with the 19 year old staff forgetting items. The food was better than dinner and overall we were happy with breakfast in room. When we checked out I seen there was 19£ charged for breakfast - I knew there was 10£ tray charge which was fine and clearly on their menu - however they charged 9£ for 2 cappucino's - I said to receptionist it did not state this on the menu - but she kept saying '' its normal in 5 star hotel for this ,filter coffee has no extra charge '' lol I only go to 5 star hotels so I can tell you this is first time I have been charged extra for the type of coffee I have. I couldn't be bothered arguing with her over 9£ - so we just paid. I want management to REFUND my partner and to correct their menu in room if this is the approach this wish to do. I do not mind being charged for something if its clear price but I wouldn't be charged for an item that does not state so on the menu - a coffee is a basic at breakfast. Overall if your a golfer and staying here just for golf im sure its fine 1-2 nights. For couples its terrible.
