Excellent quality food and service, great size portions for both adults and children, meat cooked to perfection, very friendly staff who also were very good to the children, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back again, best restaurant in Antrim, highly recommend it

Disappointing Stay at Me & Mrs Jones – Poor Service and Billing Issues
I stayed at Me & Mrs Jones in Portstewart, Ireland from May 7th to May 13th, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a boutique hotel.
From the moment we checked in, the service was lacking. The receptionist, Molly, offered no information about the hotel’s policies — no mention of breakfast times, housekeeping procedures, or even any tourist recommendations. It felt like basic hospitality was completely missing.
More concerning were the issues with cleanliness and billing. Our bathroom had clearly not been cleaned prior to arrival — dirty toilet paper and visible urine marks were left on the toilet. Towels were also placed on the dirty hallway carpet outside our room, which was both unsanitary and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, we were fraudulently charged for restaurant services we never used. Despite multiple attempts to contact the manager for an explanation or refund, we received no response. There was a clear lack of accountability and oversight from management throughout our stay.
It’s evident that the hotel is under new management, but unfortunately, the current leadership seems disengaged and inattentive to both guest experience and operational standards.
I would not recommend Me & Mrs Jones at this time. There are far better options in Portstewart where cleanliness, transparency, and basic hospitality are taken seriously
Red Sail Room in the old Adelphi in Portrush, will make a great restaurant … some day, but not today.
The places has been closed and re-opened for some forthcoming major events in the area, and it feels premature. The decor and ambience are first class.
The restaurant was clearly understaffed, however the staff that were available were pleasant and hard working.
We (2 x couples) were given menus and immediately told that several items were unavailable and that the size of the steak had been incorrectly printed - but a great confidence boost right at the outset. This was followed by being told there was no wine list or cocktail list.
There was a substantial delay in taking our order due to the busyness of the place.
When starters arrived they were very nice, well presented and substantial. Main courses arrived promptly and were delicious.
Through the single lens of food quality, we had a great experience, however it’s very clear that the re-opening had been rushed to cash in on the motorcycle races and British Open in the next few weeks.
It would have been well advised to either drop prices for a soft launch, and delay opening until everyone and everything was ready.
I will go back, but not for a while.
Very busy on a weekend night and fully expected it to be, but it was a little annoying having to wait 25 minutes only to realize that one of the staff had put down the wrong name for my order; staff could do better for listening to names for orders
