Food is absolutely beautiful. Owners are very pleasant and friendly always smiling. Due to being a popular food establishment it can be extremely busy on a Saturday night so be patient as the food is worth it. But if you do have any worries about wait time just ring the shop and the counter staff and owners will be more than happy to assist you. House noodles top my favourite dish yum yum đ

We recently visited Taste Coffee and Restaurant in Larne, and it was such a fantastic experience that we completely forgot to take pictures! Thankfully, I found some on their Facebook page, but they hardly do justice to how great this place is. The food was incredible, with so many delicious options to choose from. Everything we tried was bursting with flavor, and the chips and shakes were an absolute must-try! The service was super fast, and the staff couldnât have been more friendly. A special shoutout to Joanne, who was absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome. If youâre in Larne and looking for the best cafe in town, Taste is a must-visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and canât wait to come back!

The counter staff are incompetent and have gotten my order wrong 3 times in a row, when I complained I was hung up on by a cheeky arrogant male. When I went into the shop to complain I was attacked by the driver at the front door. When I went into the shop the kitchen was absolutely disgusting. Avoid like the plague

Carriages Bistro, Larne 4th August 2024 There are a number of conflicting reviews about this place. When we ate there, the previously-mentioned problems were very much in evidence. The service was lackadaisical, with waitresses too busy exchanging local gossip to pay attention to guests. At the end of our meal, I had to stand up and find a waitress in order to pay my bill. (Weâd finished our meal 10 minutes earlier). The food: I had Scampi and âcreamed potatoâ. Creamed potatoes were mentioned before in this review site. Mine were barely warm, and lumpy. I have known how to make creamed potatoes since I was 10 years old. Itâs hard to believe that anyone on the island of Ireland does not know how to prepare this simple potato dish. I asked for carrots and peas as my vegetables. The carrots were at room temperature. The peas were tinned processed peas â almost unheard of in this day and age. They reminded me of school lunches in the â60s. I must say, however, that my scampi was delicious. Iâve seen some good and bad reviews of this place â an equal balance between hit and miss. Our night was a miss. Maybe a manager or a team leader was missing, or (and) maybe a head chef was missing. Poor service; poor food standard.
