Pips Chips is a little gem. If you want really good quality traditional fish n chips, pies etc, or anything else off Pips great menu, you won’t be disappointed. We’re occasional visitors to Grimsby and always try to visit Pips, it’s just great. Lovely food including homemade gravy and sauces etc, we can’t praise them enough.

First visit, but won't be the last. Very clean, warm welcome, friendly staff, dog friendly and excellent 'Big Breakfast' for less than £10

Lovely pub slightly off the beaten track (pun not intended). Friendly staff, well priced, takes card. Somewhat lacking in the beer choice department (no craft beers, bog-standard mainstream lagers) but does do some local real ales if you're into those. If you're a railway enthusiast you'll probably spend more time looking at the various artifacts & posters around rather than drinking - it's a bit of a railway museum in itself! Even can get a seat with a view of the railway station.

When you start ring from 5.00 to 6.00 and can not get though why are no one there just stay shut crap

a wonderful venue for this humble meal. batter on the fish was average if not slightly under cooked. chips were okay. peas good. too much butter on the bread. and the vinegar, why oh why would anyone dilute vinegar. so if you want average this is the place to be, the score would have been to if not for the venue it was eaten in.

Just popped over as said on here it’s open,but on arrival it was closed and was advised it’s closed for the winter. Unless anyone has any other info Star rating as couldn’t post without

A fairly short review… They do an amazing caramel hot chocolate and the breakfast rolls were spot on! Dog friendly and very friendly staff. Plenty of choices for both food & drink.

So nice to visit this pub again ,all staff so friendly esp Paul the boss ,top man ! Beer is so well kept and always a good atmosphere 🍻🍻

Great and friendly pub, drinks were cheap on the day we went (Monday) and, as a result, the place was pretty busy.

I was not very pleased with the price of 2 slices of toast £2.50 is outrageous don’t get me wrong but the toast was ok it was just the price for 2 coffees and 4 slices of toast was £9.80 that’s a joke so I won’t be going there again also we had to wait 25 minutes for the toast

Actually we didn't go here, we went to the chip shop next door. Shared a bag of chips sitting on the sea front. Took me back to my childhood. Great chips, golden, beautifully cooked ánd brilliantly served

Always amazing from here so quick and the food is always hot would definitely recommend
