Lovely country pub with friendly staff, good food and great selection of ales.

One night stay on a long journey south. 10mins off the A1 in a quiet village. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Serves a good pint, decent quality pub grub served by very friendly staff. Highly recommend

We were spotting a very rare plane which was circling over us near Leeming air field, we tracked it down & stopped off here for a well earned pint of traditional Sam Smiths beer. Not to everyone's taste but it was kept great& tasted great
