The best restaurants in Winterslow Wiltshire South West

A breakfast that is priced at £12.50 should be spot on however the bacon had been sitting around for a while as it was hard, the sausage was awful ( personal preference) I think it was beef if it wasn’t then it was underdone, one of the poached eggs was lovey the other over cooked & beans seemed to have been warmed several times. We had eaten here a month before & it was lovey & had the same breakfast, we thought it was pricey for a breakfast but as it was delicious we thought we would have a second visit, it will be our last

We were the only ones there on a Saturday night . Very limited menu . The soup tasted like it came from a can and only 2 choices of dessert . Both didn’t taste nice . Will definitely not be going there again .

What a delightful place! There is ample parking, a great outdoor space and a wide range of seating options (couples tables to larger groups). There was a warming fire on the go when we arrived. They have local ales, IPA’s, Bitters and lagers to choose from. The Rude Giant lager was very nice. Chicken thigh skewer for starters was excellent. The rarebits were too. The mackerel had a lovely amount of chilli heat to it. I had an amazing Beef & Stout pie. It was huge and full of gorgeous meat. I highly recommend it. The sausage was good too. The calves liver was also very tasty. The dark chocolate brittle desert was also scrumptious, but we had to share because the pie was so huge! Dog friendly and a really pleasant place. I highly recommend.
