Excellent meal and service as always

Our lunch today was superb the food was lovely and hot as were the plates the food is all home made with fresh vegetables the pub has just been refurbished to a very high standard lovely log burn glowing. The great quality of food is always consistent. Quick service.

Went here for lunch as a group of four with high expectations having seen reviews and recommendations from others. We weren’t disappointed, the food was fabulous, beautifully presented and delicious. Service was very friendly and efficient with just the right timings between courses. Place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Oh my where do I begin! I would avoid this place at all costs! Guy behind the bar was rude not very welcoming at all.. the beer dribbled out the pumps .. coke from a can which was warm no ice.. seating uncomfortable, dust everywhere, we waited 30 mins for our food for it to be overcooked.. and a couple who arrived after us got their food before us.. there was people on another table who didn't finish their food and couldn't leave the pub quick enough either .. says it all ...

This is as a traditional pub as you are going to get. Owners were really friendly and the food menu was spot on. This pub is located off the main road but is very easy to find. Not much parking outside but there is a road opposite, which is where we parked. These sort of hidden gems need to be supported so definitely pop in if you are local, even if it's just for a drink.
