Fabulous pub. Popped in for a spot of lunch, the most incredible roast beef sandwich ever! Perfectly cooked beef and plenty of it with salad and a delicious celeriac slaw (more please!). Friendly service and very reasonable price. Love the pub itself, so characterful, will definitely return.

Great food, reasonable prices, lovely friendly staff. We were a large party so we had pre ordered but I was still impressed that the all the food came out together, piping hot and very tasty. Some of us arrived early but the table was ready and we were welcomed to sit down and have a drink or coffee while we waited for our companions.

Visited the new forest for a family Sunday lunch. The three pubs we tried all booked up so left the forest hoping to find somewhere. By chance we stopped here and so glad we did. Lovely garden for the three children with play equipment. Varied menu with child friendly options. Food came out in a timely way and was hot. Lovely helpful staff. Lovely guy whose people skills were excellent. Bill was reasonable. So what started as a disaster with fed up children turned out to be a very nice lunch.

We went here after reading good reviews in the daily echo, but I will certainly not be going back. I ordered the sirloin steak, not cheap at £22, and unfortunately was part way through it when I noticed a large insect had been cooked with it. After pulling it off of my steak I called over a waitress who said she would fetch the manager. The manager came over and inspected the insect, and then amazed me by saying "I am not sure exactly what you want me to do about it, we are in the new forest after all and unfortunately you have to expect this kind of thing to happen with all of the insects and bugs etc flying around, would you like a dessert instead?". Needless to say I declined his offer, settled the bill less the £7 he knocked off for my unwelcome extra, and left never to return again. Be warned, do not eat here unless in training for I'm a Celebrity duties.

Wow, so I went for a medium Biscoff Frozen Yoghurt that turned out to be huge! A generous amount of Cadbury’s Fudge was added to my serving, too. Very popular with students, and I can see why!

Found the Pantry Barn Cafe by chance after seeing the signs on the main road as we were heading for Bournemouth - and what a find - what a gem. Had a light lunch and it was the best Ham & Cheese toastie on sourdough that I had ever tasted. The tea and coffee was delicious as well and my wife said it was the best soup she had ever had. The cakes are lovely as well. although we took this with us. Well done and we will be back when the house is open next year.

This was a great place for our Fordingbridge Cycling Softies Christmas lunch. There were nine of us and the excellent food all arrived at the same time. The staff were friendly, the place was warm and comfortable and the food and drinks were perfect for our group. Well done!

We have been a few times but the resturant has had a re-furb and the new owners are very friendly and there was no rush at all with ordering and the food. Varied menu and lots to choose from even a set 2 course menu for lunch. All the food came out hot and even if my starter came out a bit later than the others it was not a problem. The portions are very big and they do offer for you to be able to take food home if you should wish. The only thing is there was no toilet paper in the ladies when I went so i went in the disabled but as soon as I spoke to the owner this was rectified. Will definately visit again.
