The best restaurants in Loose Maidstone South East

Ok so ordered our first delivery with this company really looking forward to it as it’s cluck and blade ! The food arrived late freezing cold and the chicken burger was soggy batter falling off chicken the burger had no flavour the garlic source was awful was watery! When called the pub to find out about our delivery the lady was very abrupt - saying we’re so busy only one person in kitchen and didn’t give us a straight answer on delivery had to call twice second time she was the same we are 5 mins from pub and lady said driver had left took him 30 mins from then to get to us and as I said most of it went in the bin. No customer service skills it’s not our problem your under staffed maybe as a business your taken to much on and need a new manager - I would never return awful food and staff was rude such as shame as just moved to area and was going to pop in but I won’t bother now much nicer pubs with great service and lovely welcoming staff in loose and surrounding areas we have had bad stomach problems never again.

Anticipating a big Sunday roast the four of us didn’t have a starter. We ordered two roast chicken dinners and two chicken caesar salads.The latter were fine. However the roasts echo previous comments ie underwhelming, overcooked, especially the veg and pigs in blankets. The exception being the potatoes which were if anything a bit anaemic. “Gareth’s gorgeous gravy” didn’t live up to its website description, being too thin and served in a half pint beer mug! It’s only use was to try to soften the thrice-baked Yorkshire pudding. At £14 for the dish it’s reasonable value overall. A good roast comes in at £18-£20 these days so the saying “ you get what you pay for” appears to be true.
