Absolutely delightful. The cakes are simply divine and the service is exemplary. The decor is charming with gorgeous attention to detail and I enjoyed every single minute of my visit. Will definitely come again (and again and again)!

New review of this wingrave pub! Have now visited the R+C around 20 times since new ownership and have to say the turnaround from the last tenants is immense! The pub it self hasnt much changed except it is now clean and run much more efficiently ! The pub has some form of entertainment every weekend! Ranging from music to quizzes! Last night they put on a kids Halloween film night with goodie bags and certificates for best costume and most origional costume! It was madness the kids loved it!! Tonight is adults Halloween party! Curry nights ect are a great attraction ! The local touch rugby team uses the pub as base and watering hole and is sponsored by the Rose and Crown! All in all a good pub to visit!

Unfortunately our experience was rather disappointing. The young man that served us was pleasant and attentive - but the food was extremely disappointing. A party of 3 - 2 had the Seafood salad starter (light eaters) and 1 had the Seafood starter but as a main. The lack of seafood in both the starter portions (£13) and the main (£20) was disappointing. The starters had 4-5 prawns and a similar number of mussels and the main had an additional one or 2 of each - but we all thought we had not received any crab meat. On closer inspection we could see extremely small crumbs of crab meat scattered throughout the lettuce leaves but so little as to give no discernible taste. The pudding was nice and the pub itself was pleasant - maybe we were just unfortunate in our choice of dish.
