The best restaurants in Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree Stockton-on-Tees North East

Used to come here years ago and were driving past and thought let's pop in. Decor is definitely a bit dated but the place was clean. Staff were nice. Ordered food and it came very timely .... and what a delight! Absolutely wonderful home cooked style food. My steak pie was like a Sunday lunch and my wife's fish goujons were plentiful and really lovely. Went out of our way to tell the staff how nice it was and they were delighted .... always give praise when praise is due!! These local places need to be supported because they are an absolute delight.

Been told this is the best by a friend a year or so back. I've been going to it for months and i can't fault it. Would be nice to partner with her for deliveries, but the food is to die, it's soo delicious, would rate this the best Chinese in the area.

Absolutely the worst food I’ve had in my life wouldn’t eat it if it was for free the paper that’s covered the food smells like dirty newspaper out of a recycling plant and the food it self looks like it was thrown together by a blind man! Save your money the people who are keeping this place running need caging off cause even a dog would turn his nose at this muck should be ashamed!

The food orders was not wat I got I ordered duck and plum sauce I got duck and plum sauce and pineapple I am allergic to pineapple so was not very gd

If you are looking for a fish shop that does the greasiest chips, fish with the softest soggy batter and the wateriest curry sauce that you have ever experienced then this is the plaice for you. We had had a very busy day and we decided to have fish and chips and we chose this chippy. What a mistake. It was that bad that I swore that it was the last time that I am having fish and chips.

Had scampi and chips twice, children's fish and chips and a few drinks. Came close to nearly 50 quid. The food was fine but nowhere near worth that price. The location is this place's best feature. Away from the busy town centre so a bit quieter.
