The best restaurants in Stainton and Thornton Middlesbrough North East

Great place for a coffee and snack, or light lunch. Very good value food, though not a large menu. I often come here after a walk in the surrounding fields and look forward to a coffee and scone or bacon baguette.

A real shame this pub is let down by its horrendous customer service

We had a wonderful afternoon and a lovely lunch. We booked in advance and the team went that extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic vegan Sunday lunch. Thank you!!

Ordered smash pattie burger with buttered brioche bun and fries. Bun wasn't buttered and was not fries. Breakfast in the morning was warm at best, staff like headless chickens, evening bar Staff need teaching manners. Way over priced for my burger. Very slow service, Wouldn't go out of my way for this place.

Booked a table because we thought it was a carvery we ordered the dinners waited 45 mins not good, the beef looked to be out of a packet the gravy was tasteless and rashoned the side veg for four was enough for two having said that the dinner wasn't that bad but was on the whole tasteless and a bit expensive £33 for two drinks and dinners. Plus side the staff were very nice and helpful, will not be going back.
