The best restaurants in Hart Hartlepool North East

Our lass and myself have been ordering from here since we moved in the area and have had zero bad experiences with Alchinos until tonight. I ordered a hotshot parmo and cheesy chips and our lass ordered the chicken wrap with no veg. The cheesy chips were both over and undercooked, overcooked in appearance and undercooked in actual cooking time. They easily could've done with another 3 minutes in the fryer. The parmo was off. It was stale and had been sat around for at least an hour before I ordered it and tasted old. Very disappointing as we usually have a really nice meal when we get it from here. The food took about 40 minutes, which is pretty quick at least! Don't think I'll be back after this experience.

When making the booking they never mentioned anything about when the final bill needed to be paid and asked the extended family to pay the final bill. When we rang to mention this to them they said it was our fault and we were to blame. This was a very emotional event (a wake for a man the owner of the venue knew) and the staff on the phone made out like we were at fault although the venue never mentioned anything about how the final bill would be paid for when the initial booking was made.

This is a pub we visit regularly for lunch Good choice of meals, quick service. Real ales available. Friendly staff. Visited again just as before. 8
