The best restaurants in Lewisham London

I eat here at least three times a week. The staff remember all of my favourites and can usually predict what I'm going to order. They really look after me. As well as your usual cafe menu, they also have a specials board, where you can get roast pork or shepherd's pie or steak pie (or whatever's on, usually multiple options) with all the trimmings, and for a very reasonable price, especially considering the quality of the food. On Fridays they usually do incredible fish and chips with a light and delicate yet crispy batter. But get there early to avoid disappointment, because the fish and chips often sells out by the end of lunch. In fact, I'm off there now...

I have been here a few times. It’s a bit overpriced for what it is and where it is. The first two times i went i got the burrito, which was really nice. However it comes with a poached egg and i asked for a runny yolk and it wasn’t runny (no big deal). The third time i went i got the meatballs and pasta which was really poor. It was a few very cheap meatballs with some penne pasta and tomato based sauce. It was very similar to what i used to have at school at lunchtime, certainly not worth the £8.45. On one visit my friend got eggs royale (which should always come with runny yolks in the eggs). He asked for the yolks to be runny anyway just to clarify. When the food came the yolks were hard. He then queried this with the waitress who told him that next time he needed to request “extra runny yolks” which i thought was a bit cheeky to be honest. Overall i don’t think i’ll be going back. The staff are a bit odd and not very accommodating and the food is overpriced and nothing special.

Really good pizza, great staff and cocktails! Highly recommend. Simone on the bar is really funny and a great host!

The friendliest cafe and best coffee in Lewisham and a beautiful place to sit outside if it’s hot …. It’s just the nicest place a little bit off the track and also they don’t charge service charges so it’s up to you

Really great Nepalese food, I had chilli momo and paneer tikka, really great flavours… but the garlic naan! Never seen a naan look so beautiful, and taste so good!

As always the food is excellent. Great atmosphere. Large area for playing table tennis or having a party

We ordered a date night bundle from Peppeckish and Giuseppe delivered it to us. It was so tasty, the portions were very generous (we have leftovers!) and the ingredients were of a high quality. We’ll definitely be ordering again and would highly recommend Peppeckish. Thank you Giuseppe and Sindy!

Best jacket potato I've had from a café! Washed down with an ice cold Dr pepper. Great value and served with a smile. What more can you ask for. Highly recommend 👌as a regular customer I've also had the set breakfast 1 and 2. great portion sizes and really good value for money. freshly made sandwiches are stuffed with filling!

We went to Deli Nene for our work Christmas lunch. There were 15 of us, food was absolutely lovely, tasty, good quality and really good size portions. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings rivalled home made ones. Service was great, Birol and Rizzwan were accommodating, happy and charming.

Food was five star and the whole experience was amazing. If you like good food, a quirky environment you won't be disappointed.

T is all down to taste and getting it still hot .. Quaggies Kitchen is without doubt the best one round Lewisham, Blackheath, Lee, Kidbroke and I think they deliver out to Eltham etc. They are based near the centre of Lewisham. So Catford is also cool. You won’t get better elsewhere.

We have eaten in the restaurant and regularly have a take away both with our family and as a couple. Our grandchildren love the Bao buns. The food is always delicious, beautifully presented and always such good quality. The staff are always friendly and the place is spotless.

We went for a Sunday roast today and it was amazing, best roast I've had maybe ever! I had beef, we also had pork belly and veggie Wellington all delicious, amazing roasties and lovely staff
