Great service, friendly people, and great coffee and cake

We had Sunday lunch today at The Red Lion and it was excellent. Our table was booked for 8 but due to stormy weather and illness, we changed the booking to just 4 people. Nevertheless the owners were very accommodating and friendly and gave us an excellent time, friendly fast service and wonderful home-cooked wholesome food. We highly recommend this charming pub and hope to visit again soon.

Absolutely outstanding Sunday lunch. Excellent food, great beer, cosy woodburner and friendly staff. Top rate all round. Booking advisable.

We meet every month with old work friends at different places to eat in Cambridgeshire. We had never been to this place before, which has been under new ownership since October 2024. I was pleased to see 5 tables occupied. We did not know this until we arrived , but Thursdays is pie night. The pie was HUGE. I was so full that I could not attempt a dessert! Service and food were really good. We'll be back.
