lugar espléndido. Sin duda volvería. El personal es estupendo y el servicio fabuloso. Me pase las palabras de mi tropa.

I had a business lunch at the Great Western Arms arranged by my financial advisor. What a lovely tranquil setting next to the canal. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Well worth the drive to get there, which was also beautiful scenic countryside and villages once off the motorway. Unfortunately I did not have time to spend a night in the hotel but it is now definitely on my bucket list.

Friendly service always, plus good quality Coffee, good, snacks; very nice home made scones and cakes, Having stopped on a Saturday at about closing time for 'take away' scones/cake, I was disappointed to be charged the price for 'consume on the premises'. Why would people do that? Really disappointed as I so far have been a regular customer / supporter.

If you've ever been to Las Vegas you might be familiar with the experience of arriving at a Hotel or restaurant and experiencing 'wow' moments as you drink in the environment, have your car valet parked and then get served by the most hospitable staff you can imagine at every moment during your stay.Only later you realise that the lunch or dinner you ordered was at best mediocre. Thats how it felt at this beautiful location. This is the sort of experience that is rare in the UK, so it's well worth visiting for the uniqueness of the place.Look past the prices for what is only mediocre food. They've got to pay for the building and staff somehow!

We`d just finished a Croughton circular walk, and needed "refreshment" afterwards. One of the locals said hello as we walked in. Staff were friendly, and there was Tribute, Wainwrights and Directors on tap. I went for the Directors, which was very good. The menu was on the wall, and was varied, lots of it homemade, and great value for money. Sadly, we`re quite a drive away, otherwise it would be become my local. Note to self: have a meal BEFORE going on Croughton circular walk.

Just had the most delicious Sunday lunch here- the roast lamb was amazing. Squeezed in a pudding and went for the special - apple and blackberry crumble. Not as expected, more a deconstructed crumble and not a crunchy topping but still very yummy 😋
