The best restaurants in Eyres Monsell Leicester East Midlands

I visited SJ’s Cafe on Monday 10th June and was absolutely amazed when I came out. I live only 5 minutes away and everyday walk past here to take my younger siblings to school just nearby, and always get the temptation to go in (whilst at the same time trying to look after my bank account 🤣) and today thought to have a proper breakfast rather than some cereal at home. I walked in and already was surprised. A lovely interior design, lovely colours, can atmosphere, radio on, and one thing for me especially working in catering myself, knowing where your food & drink is being prepared. You order at the counter and can see your drinks be made. And the kitchen is just along the counter. I ordered a Large All Day Breakfast and a Coffee, which came to the extremely affordable price of £9.20. £8 for breakfast which included 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 egg, 2 hash, beans, tomato’s, mushroom & 2 Slices of buttered toast (could also be buttered bread). I said if I could have no Tomato’s or mushroom and there was no issue and was offered an extra hash! Which I at all didn’t mind. I went and sat down with my coffee (which later on was told it was free refills!!!!) and waited for my food which came neatly presented, and visually spot on! It was absolutely amazing! Freshly cooked and could hear it all sizzling away whilst I waited. The woman in whose name was Sarah was a star! Great conversation too! The place was also tidy, regularly swept and well maintained it seemed! Also has a toilet which I didn’t expect for a small cafe such as this one. Personally, if you want to go somewhere for a PROPER breakfast (none of this McDonalds stuff) this is the place! They also do take orders via Just Eat & Uber, but then you miss out the lovely place itself! 10/10 from me and will defo be back again! p.s in my photos I didn’t remember to photo the toast but we all know what toast looks like.

A wonderful location alongside the Everards Breweries new home. Literally, opposite Fosse Park Shopping Centre, which is equally wonderful for your shopping, meeting up, and retail therapy 😀. Set with a beautiful space to meet, explore the surroundings and stretch your pets legs. Staff are very professional, courteous and genuinely look like they're proud of the services they're providing. Always clean, bright and very appealing, and as a muso myself the song 🎵 list is a collection of positive tunes to create a relaxed audible ambience. Highly recommend 👌 👍

Just brilliant, really tasty shish, rice really fluffy, rest of food on point and hot 👌 Great service all round, delivered on time by a very pleasant driver. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I went here a few times when I was younger. The place has changed a lot. Went as part of a group to support the DJ karaoke. We had a great time as did the regulars

This is a pretty good takeaway, the prices are very reasonable.

Slow, dry, overcooked, management not interested with quality. Just argued then refunded to get rid of us. Update 2024: nice food this time atleast for the kebab . but don't tell you about being charged fees for extras, and then bags or debit card use being added. Fees are reasonable, but 0 communication that it's being added till your total is £ more then it should be then you question the extra amounts.

I had 2 fishcakes 1 was burnt then potatoes fritters they were so well done I chipped my tooth and mushy peas cost me over nine pounds and had to throw seven of it in the bin I spend quite a lot in here seriously thinking of going up the road
