Fantastic value for the quality of food, service and surroundings. Have eaten here several times for weekday lunch and Sunday lunch and always been impressed by the great menu, quality of food and service. This is a fantastic place for couples or groups for a nice meal. Not particularly targeted towards children although have been with my young children a couple of times, they would likely be as happy going to Wetherspoons! Lovely in the winter with a roaring fire and nice and bright with the roof lights. Still not had an evening dinner but I hope to try in the future. If you are looking for a high quality venue for a lovely meal or even an afternoon drink and cake then I highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious burgers. I had hallumi and pineapple, my husband had the boars head burger. I can honestly say they were the best burgers we've had and the chips and salad were wonderful too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back!!!

19 Oct 24 Called in on the off-chance and asked for a table for 3. They fitted us in as long as we were quick. The food came quickly and was excellent. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I can't thank them enough for helping us a brilliant meal.

We have visited a couple of times for a tapas lunch, and our latest visit was again really good. The pub was quiet, so the tapas didn't take long to arrive. The food was very tasty, we ate every last scrap. There were large screen TV's showing sport, which personally I don't mind. There was music playing, but the speaker in the front room needs sorting out as it kept crackling. Outside, the pub has a large beer garden offering a range of heated & covered rooms, open fronted sheds and cosy hideaways along with outdoor tables; it is a lovely area. The inside of the pub has a range of rooms off the main bar area, and is well presented. The drinks are priced comparably with other pubs, I think it was around £5 per pint, so maybe just a little bit more. There was only one bar staff member, but as the pub was quiet we were served quickly. Can't comment on how the service is when it's busy as we are afternoon visitors. We enjoyed our visit, and we will be visiting again.
