The best restaurants in Bassetlaw East Midlands

Lovely people, absolutely hilarious actually. Made my mum and I very welcome straight away. Straight forward food that’s wholesome and tasty. I have a feeling this will be my mum and I’d regular spot when she visits. This place reminds me of much needed home cooked food on a long road trip and finding a gem of a cafe on a long country road. I dunno, strange feeling of comfort in a pubic place.

These guys put on a fantastic Christmas buffet for us, the staff were great and were great to share tall tales and endless stories with. Can’t wait to come back again, merry Christmas x

As sushi lovers me and my daughter have always been looking for good sushi in our local area. How did I not know this place even existed in Worksop, and that it was right on our doorstep?! OML we now order this most weeks and we love our sushi nights again. We always order 4 mini maki sets of 8 and a tub of seaweed salad. Everything looks and tastes amazing and is so fresh! It travels well for home delivery and the customer service is good. The complimentary chopsticks and extras make this so authentic! ...although when asked, the lady on the phone was happy to ommit the Soy sauce (too strong for our tastes), the wasabi and the Pickled ginger (we just don't like them). Instead, we received extra sweet chilli mayonnaise instead. We love Always Sushi and would recommend giving the food a try as soon as you can! :)

Delicious takeaway, lovely hot food ready in 30 minutes. Ordered from here a couple of times and has always been lovely hot food and ready quickly. Amazing

Excellent service with welcoming staff,on holiday at clumber park lodges and can highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area

As a family we can not find a fault with the food,service,people it's 10 out of 10 once again the home made chilli sauce is to die for cheers lads

Perfectly cooked large cod with lovely chips mushies and an indulgent curry sauce...good value too..what's not to like.

Went here for lunch with a friend. We hadn’t booked but with a wait we could be accommodated. I’ll book next time. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They were disinfecting tables and chairs when customers left and tables were well distanced. The menu was full of interesting dishes so was spoiled for choice. I can recommend the cauliflower and onion bajhi salad. It’s classed as a light bite but it was very filling. Had already ordered carrot cake but managed to squeeze it in. It was a proper sized piece of cake too! The food was delicious and fresh. Would highly recommend it and will be back myself.

Went here for breakfast. Just had bacon cob and a coffee. 1st time I’ve been in this greggs. It was so nice . Usually when you go to greggs they always get your order wrong. But this 1 was nice and clean . The people who work there are nice.

Warm and cosy … The snacks on display are so good ! Reminded me of home were you can pick anything that is on display and is served in small tapas style plates! The lady behind the counter was very friendly .

Having moved to the area we were pleased to find that a good fish & chips takeaway is not too far from us. The takeaway has been recently renovated, it is clean and tidy albeight tight on space when queueing. You can pay by card or cash and place orders over the phone for collection. The large fish isn't that large however, but they do have a good selection including halloumi for veggies.

A hidden gem inside the old library. This cafe is full of interesting decor as its preserved art deco interior retains its historic heritage. The staff/ volunteers are delightful and the food is home made and fresh. Lots of lovely cakes on display to tempt people. Highly recommend a visit and a look around the heritage museum on the way out.
