The best restaurants serving African food in Kingston upon Thames London

The name says it all. Great biltong, good value for money and awesome staff. I was hooked from my first purchase. I was asked exactly how I wanted my biltong soft medium etc fatty or not fatty and then got shown 5 sticks of biltong in my price range to choose from. So a special thank you to Emma made me change which South African shops I now shop at.

The food was generally good. The chips were very tasty. Unfortunately, there wasn't any egg-free children's option for my son who has an egg allergy. That's really disappointing given how common such an allergy is in children. We enquired if a smaller portion of an adult meal could be prepared (e.g. the vegetable curry) but the waiter suggested one of us get a pizza and share it with him. I usually wouldn't mind, but that became the second margarita pizza I had that day, given I had one for lunch. For dessert, I thought I'd try a Biscoff Shake. It's not technically a dessert but at £8 I thought it would be substantial, however it was a little disappointing compared to what I've had elsewhere. In contrast, the desserts the rest of my family had did seem to be decent sizes at a similar price. Again, no egg-free option, so I had to buy chocolate buttons from the vending machine (which doesn't give change due to reasons). I'm not a fan of the new trend of parents giving children tablets at the table. What really annoys me though is when it's playing loud music or sounds, which is super disruptive to my own dining experience. There should be a point where staff intervene if it's getting ridiculous.
