Rude service and customer in front of me was rude food was nice hence the stars

Ordered brie /bacon sarnie and mocha .really nice .good value for money

Visited today for a sandwich and the person serving was so lovely. It really makes a huge difference when the staff are smiley, friendly and patient. It makes me want to return again. I had cheese, branston & salad on granary breadcake & it was delicious. I will definitely be visiting again, Thank You

Loved this place , great atmosphere. Food was perfect , made me happy. I asked for something that was not on the menu and the lady didn't hesitate to sort out for me. Will definitely visit again if we ever come back to sheffield. Thank you for a great experience

Not busy Friday afternoon. 20 minute delay in service. Collected meal ourselves. Poor staff attitude. Badly burned and flattened panini. Disgraceful.

I visited Zooby’s today and witnessed the owner of the cafe bring a young girl who was waitressing there to tears. He was a very aggressive man with no respect for the staff who are helping to run his business, and even less respect for his customers who keep the cafe in business and were *trying* to enjoy a peaceful lunch. After shouting at the girl for something related to no longer accepting tips he took her into the back and behind closed doors shouted at her extremely loudly for all to hear. Myself and others offered the girl plentiful tips after he had left and comforted her. I left the cafe feeling upset for the girl and disturbed by the incident. Spend your money elsewhere.. not a man whose pockets you want to be lining!

Always good service from friendly efficient staff. Had a turkey cranberry and stuffing sandwich was delicious would recommend it.

Delicious food, all freshly made, great varied menu with plenty of options for vegans and meatlovers. Really friendly and relaxed service. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Plus it's in the Winter Garden so it always has great atmosphere.

I love Zooby's. It gets a bit hectic at busy times, but the food is good, the coffee is very good, the staff are friendly and it's all at a fair price. Plus you can't get much better atmosphere than the Winter Gardens.

A really great cafe with filter coffee and a large selection of freshly made sandwiches. Lovely seating in the glass atrium too. I had the large sausage and bacon baguette and a large coffee. Prices are excellent and generous portions. They have vegan and vegetarian options too. Highly recommended!

We had 3 sandwiches. All very different. They were top quality. Staff were friendly and competent. Prices seemed reasonable, considering it's in a City centre

I genuinely never leave bad reviews, but I can't not say something as they were so rude. The service was incredibly slow even though it wasnt busy. I was told to sit down and they would bring it over in "2 secs". After 10 minutes was worried they'd forgotten so I went to ask politely where it was, though they ignored me for the first while. When I did ask they were clearly annoyed and gave me a half cooked panini and I overheard them saying to each other "whatever it'll be fine" meaning the amount it was cooked. Wouldn't come again. There are also almost not gluten free options except jacket potatoes which they were out of

Absolutely shocking service. Man who served us was very rude. Everything was too much trouble. If you don't like people don't work in the service industry. Would not recommend going here at all. Plenty of other better options.

Nestled away in the Winter Garden, this cafe with open seating is a surprise find. Plenty of options on the menu, very good and fresh food and hot coffees, with a view. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely good value for money. Service was a little slow, but overall, everything was excellent.

The staff are lovely Most of the items on the menu are not available (be ready lol) We ordered a few paninis, I would call them super skinny panini, very very thin, not much ingredients in it and not really flavourful , the service was sooo slow. Really need to put more in the panini and sandwiches, and maybe more grills ? Or more staff ? Don’t think will be going again Shame

Great little cafe in the Winter Gardens. Travelled up again for the Snooker and consistently impressed by the quality of food and the friendliness of staff.

Good coffee and good food. Ideal place for lunch really.

Disappointed, i try to support local businesses but Very, very slow service and the coffee was not worth the wait.

I wish I could give it more stars for the food at least, but the baguette was dry and the "basil and lemon chicken" was literally dry chicken slices, drops of lemon juice from a bottle and basil leaves. Such a weird sandwich! At least it's good value and good location...

Honestly the slowest service for a couple of luke warm drinks and a cheese ploughman's (just cheese an pickle until we asked for the salad bit to be added)took about 20min and first in the queue. Sandwich not bad but won't return

Super friendly polite man who served us and food was really cheap but still tasted good. It cost us £11 for 2 full baguettes 2 drinks and a big slice of cake! Great value (wholemeal and white bread available). There was lots of options plus a lovely seating area with good access to outdoor seating if preferred. Thank You, we really enjoyed it!

Lovely staff and a great environment, but very disappointing food. They just seem to forget about paninis once they’re toasting (it didn’t just happen with me). I had to ask them to take mine out, by which time it was overdone. There was so little filling in there that it was essentially a tasteless brick of dry bread.

Grab a couple of drinks, I already decided what I was having to eat but the misses was still deciding what to get. The older woman saw to us and was Ok. The young girl was can I get you anything else, I said get us a couple of lattes but was like Id rather do the food first. I was like she's still deciding, the girl was like what food do you want, my misses rushed her order and asked for it to be toasted, we paid and we was like where the sandwich, she looked at us like she didn't understand what we was speaking. She lucky she didn't burn it. Basically I didn't like young girl attuide rushing people for what it's not like they were closing which I thought they were. If we wasn't so hungry I would said sod the food.

Called in for a drink, asked for tea, strong and very little milk.Assistant was pleasant enough, I paid, she put the lid on but when I sat down the tea was nothing like what I had asked for.It had a lot of milk, was weak and was just like drinking hot water and milk.This was 8.20 one morning, no other customers and the floor where I sat was filthy, the table had not been cleaned from the day before, there was an open packet of sugar on it and loose granules on the table.Disgusting. A terrible place,avoid there are far better places

Went today and left very impressed! Got the berry smoothie and my friend got the mango one- also got a panini!!! Great food and drink. Not to mention the staff were polite and kind and attentive and all work very well together- will be back :)))))

Very good fare from Zooby's - in the pleasantly verdant and lush setting of the Winter Gardens. My enquiry about coffee strength was handled well. Have been coming here for 12 years on and off: this place has been consistently good. Service has been especially valued in recent times under Covid restrictions (takeaway only) - so let's be patient while our much loved independents find their way back.

I had a lovely tasty sausage sandwich and a hot chocolate drink. I also bought a children's box for £2.99 contained a sandwich, crisps, rasins, kinder chocolate bar and a Ribena drink, fantastic value for money. The guy who served me was really friendly. You can pay cash or card. There was a queue and the service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait.

Fairly miserable cafe experience. Ignored by staff, slow service, erratic payment system, awful cake selection - few packet and a couple of homemade items. Nice environment in the winter gardens but have clearly become complacent with passing trade. Avoid.

Worst flat white ever, had to throw it in the bin after waiting 15 mins to be served on a quiet day. Avoid.

Very nice little eatery inside the winter garden. I had a bacon and brie sandwich. Freshly cooked so a short wait which I didn't mind. Lots to choose from and staff were lovely and helpful

Prices are ok but the waiting time to be served is just too slow and often puts me off-the staff are like zombies. Also you arent greeted with a hi or a smile, just a miserable face of a person who looks like they dont want to work there.

First star for location Second star for friendly service. But! - Tables are super sticky and dirty especially now in covid time they shoud be clean after every costumer. - Coffee taste worst than in McDonalds not worth that price - Menu on the bar is huge but half of the positions there are not available to order..

Staff always so friendly and work very hard. Very busy café because of the popular location, so be prepared to wait sometimes. Good prices too.

Panini bread is not a proper Panini. Taste like fresh light soft roll and toasted. Should have left a tea bag in as was rather weak. 😕

Lovely setting in an arboritum. Great coffee - obviously very important! The menu looked varied too but I didn't sample the food.

This place has gone downhill! After waiting patiently for 10 minutes whilst lady had some kind of issue with ice creams for lady in front, watched a drunk aggressive man in queue behind (who had only been waiting a couple of minutes for a cup of coffee) verbally assault a young teenage lad behind me, then tell me to 'pay by cash' because my card kept getting declined by the machine, whilst the staff looked on, without a word about his behaviour (appeared to be friends with him!). The male server then continued to try my card four or five times, whilst my food went cold, and my seven year old daughter was left unattended eating her sandwich, insisting that he had had no problems with machine all day and suggesting it was my card at fault. He finally let me eat my sandwich, when I offered to leave my bag to try my card at a card machine (was worried by that point we wouldn't get home!!). Absolutely no problem with card at cash machine (and later that day in max spielman's card machine). Straight back to pay. No apology, nor any kind of compensation for meal ruined. Most worrying, however, was not asking aggressive man to leave cafe for bullying behaviour towards a child, and a woman with a small child present. Wish now I had brought the police in from outside and asked them to intervene!! Really don't recommend losing lunch buying customers over abusive customers parting with £1 for the smallest cup of coffee going!! Won't be back!!

Visiting my home city today. Called in Zooby's for a bite to eat as we love the environment. Staff were unwelcoming, maybe because they had to work on a very hot bank holiday. However, sandwich was very dry, Panini took an age to arrive and when we questioned where it was we were treated very rudely. Salad box, according to my daughter was very nice. I accept that the food prices were a lot cheaper than other eateries close by but, come on. Not very good.

I hope they develop the taste of cakes and coffee because the place is very nice and the staff are friendly

It's the setting rather than the consumables that we like about this place. Coffee is OK, nothing exceptional but not bad. Sitting by the window gives a nice view of the Crucible as well as the calming indoor hot house!

Absolutely shocking customer service, not professional what so ever. Served us 3 undercooked jacket potatoes and wasn’t willing to do anything about it. Asked to speak to a manager as I wasn’t happy with the poor customer service we was given and they refused to allow me to do so. Won’t ever use this service again.

Lovely place to grab a coffee. The staff, 2 girls, were really friendly and chatty. The coffee was lovely too! Highly recommended!

Great bacon bap and cappuccino in the wonderful Winter Gardens

Ice cream was alright but you better buy at least 2 or 3 scoops if you want to get your money's worth. Cold drinks from a refrigerator weren't cold at all as it's not working. Quite regrettable on a hot day..

Ordered two vege sausage sandwiches, only to realise once receiving it, that they sandwiches did not contain any lettuce or sauce as advertised. The guy serving me asked if I wanted butter at the time, but did not ask as to the sauce or lettuce. When I returned, the guy who served me accused me of not explicitly saying that I wanted the sauce and salad, he was quite rude and dismissive of my complaint. The woman however politely sorted it out. Aside from this experience, I was impressed with the menu variety, and the sandwich, once corrected, was delicious. Also, the setting in the winter garden is lovely.

Excellent trouble is they run out of jacket potatoes an gluten free bread but coffee lovely and staff really helpful

Value for money with fresh food

After waiting in the queue for some time, I asked if I could get a tomato and basil soup (which was shown). The gratuitously rude and charmless woman who was serving replied "No, you can't. Our soup machine is broken. And anyway tomato and basil soup is not even the soup on today". Her tone was vile. She even rolled her eyes derisively whilst spitting out the last sentence. It was like being chastised by an old fashioned school Marm.

Best food I've eaten in ages!! Super nice setting and very curtious and pleasant staff. I recommend the jerk chicken panini made with olive bread.

Nice fresh food and friendly staff . Zoobys is also situated in a beautiful indoor winter garden, a great place to sit and enjoy a coffe or a relaxed lunch, plus its right next to the museum

Sat my daughter down at the table with her noodles whilst I went to buy a hot chocolate and tin of pop. The man behind the couter said the tables are only for customers i said yes im buying something. He said "as long as you clear up after yourself I'm not clearing up other people's rubbish." How rude, I just left!!!

Quality home made sandwiches, including vegetarian and vegan options and good coffee and cakes (counter service). Tables in the indoor garden setting.

Drink-in coffee is served in take away cups so not much concern for waste reduction. The floor around the seating area is quite dirty. The barista interrupted her chat to ask if I wanted milk than continued to chat and a few seconds later asked again if I wanted milk, didn't seem to have registered the first round of Q&A at all. Then continued her chat while serving me and taking payment. The coffee is of adequate of quality.

Got lunch from here and I wish I hadn't bothered. Took them over 10 minutes just to grill a ready-made Panini, and the end product was rubbish. Either the bread was stale or it was overcooked, I'm not sure, but it tasted like eating a sandwich made of crackers, not bread.

We go to zobby's most days and have done for a long time. Lovely food and staff and reasonably priced. A great place to meet, chat and chill.
