I ate here as a solo diner for lunch and I have to say the waitress was not especially friendly, so it didn't feel entirely comfortable. The food took a long time to arrive, despite there being very few people in. The pizza was very good and well put together but the side salad was unbelievable. A bowl of shop bagged lettuce with a tiny bit of cheese wafted over it (basically a bowl of lettuce). No dressing, no tomatoes or anything. At just under £5 and as an additional side, it was embarrassing. I should have sent it back but was in a rush for a flight and had waited an age for the food to arrive. They could see the salad was barely touched but didn't say a word (probably as embarrassed as I was). I don't normally leave negative reviews but overall I'd give this place a miss as I'm sure there are nicer places in lovely Belfast (the Thirsty Goat is particularly good)

Called in ten minutes after they opened their doors and asked for a table for two. We were told that because we hadn’t booked they would be unable to accommodate us. THERE WAS NO-ONE ELSE IN THE RESTAURANT. When we raised this, the ‘maitre’d’ said ‘Um, uh, it’s because the kitchen isn’t prepped.’ Pathetic. I see from other reviews that this way of doing business is some sort of policy. Well done Zizzi, we’ll never darken your doors again.

Pros My pizza was lovely. My husbands calzone was lovely. Our food was definitely fresh. Cons Service. Being served by too many different people who didn't know what was going on. Language barriers when trying to order drinks. Our drinks came but one was missing and tried to explain which drink was missing. Our food was taking long to arrive, staff politely apologised then our food came and our baby daughters food was wrong. She has cmpa and it was Gluten free pizza arrived. Had to send it back. Chef came to the table to apologise which was appreciated. But proceeded to tell us that it was his first day and the other chefs had not turned in in two days. We don't need to know this. But appreciate the communication. We ordered a side of garlic bread. It never arrived. I had to inform them and tell them to just take it off the bill. For a bill of £76 it's really really over rated and we would not return. The place was not busy. And we witnessed several other incidents for other customers with errors and waiting times.

Arrived hoping for a meal for 4, asked if we’d booked (no) and told they couldn’t accommodate us. Restaurant was empty, was 8.30 pm on Thursday evening. Left feeling a little puzzled as to why we were refused? Was then able to reserve a table on line - why? Didn’t go as so annoyed with ridiculous system. Visiting Belfast for a few day and had appalling lack of service at Odyssey too that we left after being seated then ignored for 25 minutes. Dreadful customer service.

The worst meal I have ever had. 7 of us and only one was nice. I had chicken pasta with prosciutto and creamy sauce. No sauce, dried up, assuming their timing was off for 7 of us and left some of the dishes on heat which left them overdone and dried out. My sons pork was missing the pork. My husband duck came out, they tested the temperature and had to redo a bit. His and 2 chips came out 20mns later. The waitress took those off the bill, she was lovely bit she left. Think they had a really busy day but still shouldn't have served horrible food. I didn't say anything as we were supposed to be celebrating but they were cleaning up and trying to close around 9pm. Didnt ask how was our meal. Didn't even get a receipt as they had no paper left and would email, didn't get that either. £190 for the worst meals we have ever been served. If I had of cooked that at home, I would have binned it. Will never be back.

Came with a bunch of friends for dinner. The food was great and service was pretty quick too. Thankyou to the young female in the kitchen who helped my friend by finding some safety pins and helping her fix her fashion disaster. She made her feel punk rock at her rock bottom.

Was an average visit at best. Our drinks were served room temperature, meaning once it was poured the ice quickly melted and I was left with slightly chilled diluted flat coke. My vegan lasagne was lovely, however the pizza was served cold (watched it sit for 10 mins while waiting for the lasagne). Waitress (female with short blonde hair) clearly didn’t want to be there, she was kept busy making desserts, even though could see 2 chefs, rather than running the food. Would I return again? Perhaps but would be hesitant.

We've been to Zizi's twice before but havent been for a while, we have always enjoyed the experience. Tonight we ordered the 6 layer lasagne and rosemary salted chips and found the portion sizes disappointing, especially the chips. There was only a dozen chips at most in the little cups and at a cost of £4.55 per portion, were a total rip off. The meal for 2 including 2 cokes cost £47 which was way overpriced. Unfortunately we wont be back.

Came here for my sister's hen do on Sunday 5 May and had a fantastic time. The man who served us was just fantastic and made us laugh with his magic tricks. He paid us a lot of attention and made the night one to remember. Food and drinks also lovely. Situated in a beautiful mall too x

Terrible experience! Three of us, one an Italian friend visiting from Italy, dined early on Saturday evening in Belfast Zizzi. On arrival we ordered drinks, 2 bottles of sparkling water & an Americano coffee. Bottled water arrived but 5-10 minutes passed & no coffee. Eventually caught the attention of staff & they brought the coffee. Cutlery was dirty and staff called to replace it. 2 starters were brought together but there was another 5 minute wait for the 3rd (prawns). Mains arrived together but one wasn't cooked and was sent back. Offer of a replacement was declined. On the spectrum of dining, this is more like a 'Transport cafe'. (Apologies to all the 'Transport cafe' owners). We wouldn't recommend it and won't go again.

Arrived at 5.15 waiter took our drinks order as we were deciding what to have which arrived around 10 minutes later, next my grandfather ordered a pizza and myself and mother ordered 2 pasta dishes, my grandfather received his pizza within around 15 mins it was lukewarm at best, about 30 minutes went by called the waiter he said they were backed up and gave us free drink and said should receive it soon, another 20 minutes went by my mother's pasta dish arrived which was stone cold and had to be sent back waiter apologised and ten minutes later it was brought back after most likely being microwaved, still no sign of mine, i finally received mine at 6.50 nearly 2 hours later i had also advised we had to be at the sse for 7.30 and when it did arrive it was very bland, we had the 2 pasta dishes taken off the bill, for an authentic Italian restaurant the food definitely was not up to scratch, definitely would not return, i will say the waiter was very polite and apologetic.

Not really impressed...my pasta was like warm..and they only accept card and you will be asked for a tip included with payment..I personally always tip IF service and food is great but we are not living a country where a tip is expected regardless..so I will not be back as I've tasted hotter food and better service elsewhere in Victoria Square

We booked zizzi for an evening meal at 8:15.. got seated at 8:30 and ordered our food. We got our drinks and we’re waiting eagerly on our food. About 40 minutes passed and our starters still hadn’t arrived and we noticed people that were seated after us had already got their food. We got the waiters attention hoping to solve the problem. By 9:50 we still hadn’t got our starters!! We noticed a few other people were having the same issues as us. Eventually after an hour and a half of waiting we got our starters and mains and received an apology from staff. The starter was not as described on the menu unfortunately either. We understand it was a busy night and and there were only around three chefs but an hour and half of a wait quite ridiculous in my opinion!

We went to Zuzzi's due to it having gluten free choices on their Internet menu. However when we were seated, the waitress gave me a (roughly) 40 page document with all the allergens in for all the dishes instead of a GF menu. Consequently I had to go back to the Internet to order my food. My food came (hot but served on a cold plate). My daughter's food arrived completely wrong (meat dish served to a vegetarian). By the time her food came, mine was cold. Staff were not friendly and we couldn't wait to get out.

Was at W5 with grandson and his friend and popped in here for lunch. Ordered 3 cokes and a latte first..2 cokes arrive and the latte. Kids order pizza each with chips . I scanned qr code on napkin and won free garlic bread..I ordered it as well as pizza. All pizzas arrive, no chips no garlic bread no 3rd coke. Had to ask for coke and chips. By the time chips arrive kids had finished pizza . They had to wait forever on their dessert. Dunno what ever happened to garlic bread. Very very slow service with staff who clearly don't listen. A family sat at next table and waited for over 20 mins and noone took their order..they left. Definitely will NOT be returning here. Even though food is nice, the service is awful.

So, while all my friends got a great experience, I however did not. I ordered a small portion of calamari for a starter and it never arrived while everyone else got theirs. Even when the starters came out and the server asked who got Calamari, i said one here and one there as my friend ordered the same. Just got a nod expecting it to come soon. Never did. Secondly came my main, while most got their pizza's which I tasted (delicious!) I got the £17 truffle carbonara and there was three problems with this dish. One, it was cold, but being the socially awkward individual I am and already having missed a starter, I didn't complain, just ate what I could. Secondly... where was the pasta? The portion was so small I would've assumed it was a £5 worth. Thirdly, that pancetta on top was hard and inedible... The only other person at my table who got pasta agreed it wasn't worth a Fiver let alone £17. Don't get me wrong, I tasted a bit of others starters and the pizzas, which were amazing, but I got the short end. Finally, the desert came and I got a brownie sunday or something along those lines and it was decent, best course I had. However its all shoved into a tiny martini glass which means they don't give you much.

One of my worst dining experiences. Staff were more interested in serving themselves food than serving customers. When we were finally served and the food arrived it was cold and not nice! Would not recommend!!

From the beginning the service was terrible, as the man at the door was not welcoming. Part of our meal never arrived despite us being told that it would be there in 5 minutes, and no staff came to check on us so that we could check or order more drinks. At the end the waiter was apologetic and gave us the missing food in a takeaway box, but I spotted him picking things off the food with his hands.

Where to start... Food was okay for what it was. Ordered a number of dishes throughout our party but when they arrived they didnt match what what was described on the menu. They did cater for allergens but knowledge of cross contamination needs addressed urgently after a few suspect comments from front of house. As for the service, dreadful. Didn't seem to have any organisation or leadership. Someone who i think was supposed to be "manager" on the day preferred to stay behind the bar rather than dealing with the mass queue building up at the front door and checking on the seated customers whos heads were also going for a dander while joining the long wait for drinks and food . Wouldn't be back.

From squeezing 7 people onto what I could only see appropriate as a 4 top and being told “its the only table we have” - even though there was still availability for a booking of 7 at the same time (yes - I checked when we sat down) - the half empty restaurant was also a clue that the guy had been trying to pull the wool over our eyes 👀 To what I can only describe as a chef version of if you were to order Fred Durst from wish - aside from his lack lustre approach to work, for the majority of our meal I was able to watch him move between eating little cubes of cheese, to then having to pick them out of his teeth (not ideal for an open kitchen) to then disappearing out the back with the slight of hand pulling his phone out of his back pocket. The service was slow and the staff disinterested. All in all, a shame - because the food was actually decent. Shout out to everyone working hard in the kitchen - with the acception of the only one in chef whites. To be honest, I had wroteen this half way through the meal and the “experience” just got worse. The guy dressed as a chef disappeared, assume to do the rota and one ofntje floor staff had to move to do desserts. The restaurant floor was a shambles and could tell how frustrated other people were getting. Huge wait for cutlery for everyone (buy more forks) desserts were complete - brownies missing from brownie sundae. Overall a really awful experience.

Went to Zizzis today and got a pepperoni pizza, it tasted like greasy cardboard and it was super overpriced which was quite disappointing as the decor and staff were lovely.

This is a great spot for a casual, delicious gluten free dinner. We both had the most wonderful pizza ever. Nothing was too much bother to the fantastic staff . The cocktails were delicious and the food was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for everything. We will be back next time we're in Belfast.

Menu was limited in my view for lunch options. No wraps or soups/lighter options at the weekend apparently. Staff server lady was very pleasant. Food just ok, nothing special & nothing I can't make in the house. Restaurant was clean & nicely decorated. We won't be back however due to menu options & prices which were not value nor money.
