Zizzi in Spelthorne

Never order click and collect from here, I’ve done it several times now, assuming incorrectly that once was just that, a one off, but each time the food has been stone cold, as if it was stored in the fridge before being handed over. The last time (today) I noticed the portion sizes had halved. £8 for a portion of spaghetti with tomatoes that I could fit on a saucer is really taking the pee

Our waiter for the evening Roberta gave us the best service. Amazing and will come back just because of her. She completely made our evening even more amazing.

1st visit to this location, looks good, shame service was slow and inattentive due to their focus on takeaway orders. Our server was pleasant but the Manager was irritated by simple requests. Food was ok. Four cheese dipping starter was very poor. We will give it another go later in the year just out of convenience but yesterday’s experience was distinctly average.

I haven't been here since the premises became part of the Zizzi's franchise, but always enjoyed the ambience of the venue & I'm a fan of Zizzi's - so was eager to try it out when the wife mentioned that she had booked us a table to celebrate our anniversary. I'm pleased to say the food was on-point, but the service left something to be desired.Now I will start by saying that I appreciate that Covid restrictions & requirements impose additional measures which slow restaurants down. But, given that we had a prior booking, it took longer than I would expect for us to be seated.When we were finally seated, we were put at a table which was not marked with a number & handed menus which were also void of table details. It seems to have become standard to order your food using your phone in recent times, owing to the pandemic. However given that we didn't have access to a table number, we were unable to do this so spent a good half-hour sat trying to catch the attention of servers as they passed by hurriedly seemingly keen to avoid making eye contact.We noted that the woman on the table next to us was furiously complaining about something (though I didn't catch what) & the staff appeared to be apologising profusely, so I can only assume that the failure to acknowledge our attempts to get anyone's attention were symptomatic of a bad day!However it was frustrating to be left waiting until we were about to get up & walk out - at which point a member of staff suddenly popped up & asked if we'd managed to order any food (!). When we explained that we didn't know what table we were so had been unable to, she commented that she wasn't surprised - as the table we were at didn't have a number due to it being part of a larger table which had been split in two. Pity no one identified this sooner, as it was frustrating to have had our time wasted on this basis.I will say however, that the lady apologised, took our order in person & our food (which was delicious) was brought out VERY quickly. Of particular note was the blue cheese garlic bread, which was a lovely treat.All-in-all, service gripes aside - I would visit again. But I'd implore the management to put something in place to prevent repeat scenarios happening. Perhaps when seating people, the staff should be instructed to mention the need to order using phones - as this would prompt questions if tables aren't clearly marked up with numbers.

Went to Staines zizzi today , kindly asked if there are sitting . Guy waiter come up to you and say 'how many people ' Told him 3 people , he said each table is for 2 only . Thing is most table I see is either 3 or 4 people . He is just being sarcastic and rude . In the end he said 'all table need to make booking . I will not go there again , appaling behaviour , spend my money somewhere nice !

Just had lunch with my mum at Zizi Staines, we were served by Roberta who was so friendly and fun and completely made our day! Amazing service, credit to the company, such a nice experience on our first outing after lockdown!

The delivery man brings food. There is too much plastic in packaging. We were alarmed and offended, really badly. Food itself did not taste fresh.

Food was ok, drinks were nice and the staff were accommodating to dietary requirements.Check your bill!!! My fiancé left a tip only to realise after we lifer that they automatically add a service charge on anyway!! The food and service was ok but not worth the tip and service charge combined. Also find it extremely cheeky that places do this, especially when they are chain restaurants and everyone is on a minimum wage. Probably won’t go back

Food ok carbonara needed less spaghetti more chorizo same with calzone lack of filling and puddings banana and chocolate calzone lacking filling too much dough.

We came here Thursday 24th of September for an evening meal, and despite being rushed off their feet the service was impeccable. The food came out in good time, and was absolutely delicious. Wonderful atmosphere and a fantastic experience. Would like to give a thanks to our server (the young lady with long brown hair in a pony tail- we didn't catch her name); she was incredibly attentive, so polite and worked really hard. She also made sure that my allergen requirements were catered for. Will definitely be coming here again!

Popped in for a casual meal. First time. Nice friendly service but my main meal from the set 3 course lunch was not what I ordered so ended up eating a surfeit of dough based food. Food was ok, nothing special, probably won’t return.

Is it me or should I expect a spoon to eat spaghetti, I had to specifically ask for a spoon to eat spaghetti Bolognese and was met with a surprising look. But in the end enjoyed the evening.

We were only in the area for one night and ventured out for something to eat and are really pleased we chose zizzi. From the friendly greeting when we entered the door and the attentive friendly service throughout the meal to the cheery good bye at the end. The food was great too but it's the staff who truly shine and could not of made us feel anymore appreciated and welcome.

Great food and service here at Zizzi Staines.Efficient and friendly waiting staff.Set menu is fantastic value for money and offers some good choices. King Prawns in chilli to start with were awesome.My beef tagliatelle lacked flavour but was edible. Daughters enjoyed their pizza and calzone. Desserts were also brilliant.All round a very pleasant experience.

We were briefly visiting the area so popped into Zizzis where we were able to enjoy the last of the evening sun, eating outside. From the get go the staff were welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do more to help. Food was lovely and tasty, prices reasonable and service was quick. A winning formula!

Zizzi is just another "Italian" chain and while the food is OK, it is nothing above average. I would expect something better for the money, and quite honestly, if you are after an authentic Italian cuisine, go to a Trattoria, preferably family-owned, where the kitchen staff is actually Italian. They certainly are NOT Italian in this place.

Lunch time brilliance with my two boys, w read a rustics pizza and a spicy pasta. Food was simply outstanding, well cooked, presented and full of flavour. Definitely coming back soon.

Service excellent. Very fast and also very courteous. Food is also really good. Best place to have food in Staines. Try out the Peroni Beer. Another food u can try out is pork belly.

Came to dine here a few days ago. We had king prawns for starter which was delish and calamari. I would personally avoid the calamari next time as it was very bland. For mains my husband had the prawns & chorizo rustic pizza which was phenomenal. One of the best pizza I've had lately. Myself had king prawn linguine which was great too. For dessert we had the lemon sundae and the salted caramel sundae which was a wonderful treat to end the meal, all in all it was a wonderful 3 course meal. Not less than a 5 Star for sure.

Visited today with my friend for a dinner after cinema. Ordered Ravioli Di Capra and Crab Canelloni as a mains. We decided to treat ourselves and for dessert we had tiramisu and Ruby plum crumble. Food was lovely, dessert better than we expected. We were served by lovely Anna - very friendly and helpful.Will back soon!

Ordered arancini to start which didn’t arrive until half way through our main as the waitress didn’t put it through and had to be reminded. Had the Spiedini Manzo which was beef on a skewer with tomatoes served with chips and lettuce. Beef was tasty but very chewy. Tomatoes were definitely off and told the waitress this only to be ignored. Chips were nicely flavoured and the lettuce had a nice dressing on it. The sauce the beef came with was nice but very watery. Probably won’t bother again.

We were here on a weekday for lunch. Restaurant very pleasant and very quiet. (Too quiet really to be making a profit.) Service very good. Food was fine without being exceptional: my friend had pasta, I had a salad. I'd say prices are on the high side for what you get.

When we arrived p, the restaurant only had a few customers. The girl at the desk ignored us as she was doing something on her screen, why she could not look up acknowledge us and smile and politely say someone will be with you in a moment.We waited a while and eventually a waitress came up and asked if we would like a table. I had a gluten free option, but some of the pasta had stuck together as it had not been stirred sufficiently. It tasted ok though.The food was on the whole ok and the waitress was pleasant.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Andrei, our waiter. The food was amazing, really delicious and adapted to my diet so freshly made. Delightful surroundings, all in all a wonderful experience.

We came here after a disaster of a visit to Thorpe Park and thank goodness we did, it was a great way to end an awful day. Food was delicious service was spot on and if I'm that way again will definitely be back. I am a huge zizi fan and have never had a bad experience in any. Thank you.

I don't know what made me venture to this place for the second time but I did much to my regret. What awful awful food. The arancini we had to start was tasteless even with the red pepper tapenade. The crab cannelloni I had as my main meal was probably one of the worst meals I have ever had - the sauce was perfectly edible but the cannelloni had been heated for too long and was tough and crab?? What crab?? Filling could have been absolutely anything. This is the problem with the restaurant chains - fast food at an exorbitant cost. So this second visit will definitely be the last - should have learned my lesson the first time. Stay away - there are several much nicer independents in Staines.

Excellent service and quality of our food. V pleased. Our order took less than 15 minutes to arrive (all be it it wasn’t that busy), but still were very efficient and accommodating.

Nice location right in shopping area, lovely setting and always nice service . the spicy pizza is a must try... it's become the main reason I keep coming back here...

Had been there some time me ago and returned. Food was very good and service quick ! Had king prawns and a great steak.

After a near perfect meal and service last year we were disappointed with the frosty service and desserts. I ordered a chocolate torte that was supposed to be served with a scoop of ice cream. Instead I was served a very dry looking torte accompanied by even drier looking pieces of honeycomb balls. They did allow me to change the order but insisted my desert was as described. On paying the bill we were kept waiting for such a long time for the card machine to be brought to the table that I went to where the waitresses were standing to pay. No apologies - they just took the payment. Generally the service was not friendly bordering on frosty. To make matters worse our Taste card wouldn't work and we would have had to pay full price had it not been for a 20% discount voucher

A late Mother’s Day treat ruined by bad food; we visited here after taking our mums to Windsor Castle. We were a party of 6, 4 adults and 2 children. Our mums both ordered the Crab Cannelloni but were extremely disappointed. Although marketed as Al Forno (from the oven) the dish served seemed to be microwaved. The pasta rolls were inedible, very dry and tough nothing like pasta should be. I’m a frequent visitor to Italy and know how pasta should look and taste. Both dishes were returned uneaten. Neither the starters or mains arrived together at the table for the whole group so we had no choice but to start before food started to go cold, something as a family we find as bad mannered. One mum had a bad night with stomach ache and the other felt sick...we can not of course attribute this directly to the little food they consumed.

Came with a group for midweek dinner and had a great evening. Good was filling and delicious, and waiting staff were very attentive. Would definitely rexommwnd.

Last week, I had lunch in Kingston at Zizzis. I recognised the manager as the Staines manager and he said he was going there in the evening too. Funnily enough I also had an evening booking in Staines with some girlfriends. (I love Zizzi Vegan menu!)

You couldn’t be more welcome here as a solo dinner, the staff are amazing and the food excellent. Definitely worth a visit

My partner is lactose intolerant and we have found Zizzi to have the most extensive and delicious dairy free food out of all the chain restaurants. This means we visit a lot around the UK.

Decided to try Zizzi for a night out with friends. Firstly, I was so impressed with a totally separate menu with a large choice of vegan options.... which is usually a problem in most other restaurants. The food was fresh, well cooked and tasted delicious. And secondly, the service from the staff was fantastic, very attentive, good knowledge of food and wines available. Will definately eat out in a Zizzi restaurant again.

We visit this Zizzi regular as the people are very friendly and helpful especially Tristan who always goes out of his way to accommodate us, the food is alway very very good which is hard to find nowadays, we will defiantly be coming back regularly.

Visiting Staines we loved the friendly atmosphere of this restaurant and the delicious fresh food. We had vegetarian pizza and risotto which were so tasty. The service was wonderful; thanks so much for a fun meal.

Went here with my son on Monday, very friendly service and very quick service even though they were busy. The pizza was very tasty and the spaghetti was great. Use taste card and paid for the pizza only.

Nandos was packed and they couldnt seat us for 30 minutes with a further wait for food on top - popped into Zizzi for something quick and Peter was great, got to the cinema to see the film in time

I decided to have lunch at Zizzi, as it is our preferred pizza restaurant. The welcome and service was warm and attentive and I was delighted to see the introduction of a skinny option, as I love their pizza but am watching my calories, so I opted for the skinny version which comes with a large side salad. The portion size was about a third, but with the salad was just as filling and I got to enjoy my guilty pleasure without blowing my daily calorie allowance! Special mention goes to Roberta who was extremely helpful and friendly. Zizzi will remain our choice when we want to eat Italian

Hi there. Went for my son’s birthday today and what a disappointment. First of all my meal was watery and secondly we were kept waiting over 40 mins for dessert and in the end we just left without having dessert. I could see the restaurant was short staffed hence my dish was obviously rushed.

We visited at around 17:30 on a Tuesday and booked as we have not been here before and didn't know how busy it could get, but the place was pretty quiet so didn't need to. The welcome was warm and friendly and the food up to the usual good standard you expect from a Zizzi's. Service was good and waitress friendly and attentive, food came in a timely fashion. We would definately go again as the calzone is particularly good.

I was meeting my brother to visit the cinema and we went for a quick bite in Zizzi. Of all the chain restaurants, Zizzi is consistently the best. The staff were really lovely and helpful, looking like they really enjoyed their job. The restaurant itself looks clean and it is clear the manager takes pride in the business. And the food was very good. We both had pizzas and a beer each that came with a cold, frosted class which is a nice touch. Great.

Had a really disappointing meal/time at Zizi’s. Meal was sadly lacking in flavour and staff really looked like they didn’t want to be there! It took ages between courses to get table cleared and menus to choose desserts. It wasn’t particularly busy and there were a lot of staff but we landed up feeling neglected in a practically empty restaurant!

I went into zizis with a bit of a negative mind after last few meals out I’ve had being in various other restaurant where not too great. But after the amazing food which tasted unbelievable I was blown away. To then be topped off on arrival and throughout our meal our waiter Peter was the nicest and very knowledgable guy I’ve ever met that had been my waiter. Peter made our stay at zizi’s very pleasant and instantly made me want to come back to be treated so very well. If only all customer service was to this excellence. Can’t wait to go back. Food 10/10 customer service from Peter 10/10!! Amazing

Had a lovely meal here, the food is great and there is a good selection on the menu, the staff are really friendly and make the experience even better, the layout and decor of this restaurant is also nice as they haven't rammed the place full of table and chairs so you really feel you have a table to yourselves unlike other Italian restaurants close bye.

Visited with family, menu was varied. I had pasta del la casa, which was excellent. Wife and son had pizzas which they both said were excellent. Service was friendly and fast. Bit pricey on the drinks but overall couldn’t fault the experience. We normally use the Italian in Old Windsor ( Punto) but the food was better at Zizzi!

Good value with a 2 for 1 meerkat voucher......£50 for 4 people. Service is efficient and friendly. Try their peanut butter and chocolate fondant for desert......delicious. A very spacious and clean restaurant.

I've never actually reviewed anywhere before, but I think my visit that I just had with a friend deserved one.

Went out for a meal with a friend. We love to go to Zizzi as it is has a very relaxing atmosphere. The manager Tristan was very helpful and lovely, he was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. The food is phenomenal and we can never fault it. Definitely would recommend.

Me and my partner came here for an early valentines day meal and it was an absolutely terrific night out! The staff were lovely and helpful, the food fantastic (a pity we couldn't finish it but we'd already had popcorn at the cinema!) and the management extremely helpful when our experience voucher codes didn't work! Next time we're looking for a meal out in Staines we'll be sure to come and visit Zizzi again! I have literally nothing to fault them on, only high praise for the team both front of house and in the kitchen!

I have been here for couple of times and every time I have found the food with awesome taste. The service is also very good and I am really impressed with the ambience of the restaurant.

From looking at the menu outside and being welcomed in. The experience went from strength to strength. Tristan was the best server ever had in any restaurant. Food was delicious and huge portions. Definitely won't be the last time we are in here. Couldn't find any faults. Highlight was server humour and personalisation of service!

Went to Zizzi for lunch with a couple of friends. Not our first time here, but it gets better every time we get here.

Went here with the family for a birthday meal.Invited In by Tristan. He was a wonderful host and handled any of our queries with ease. He was jokey and a joy to be around. Food was fantastic and kept topping up on parmesan which I've never seen in any other restaurant. Couldn't fault the food in any way, nor the service we recieved.

I have never been to a place so welcoming if you go here I hope you get Tristan as a host/waiter, I never normally leave tips unless the place is outstanding, and trust me it is, quick service, great food( best pizza around!!!) and excellent service I will definitely be makeing this a regular spot, this is very much to do with Tristan our server,, if he does get to read this a very well done for setting the stand of a restaurant so high, thank you again.

I had another terrific meal here tonight. I eat her fairly regularly and I'm never disappointed. Great service from Peter and a terrific chicken pizza washed down with craft beer, what's not to like.

I’ve been to Zizzi restaurants all over the country and they’re all good. But this one is exceptional — a tightly-run ship with everything as it should be: perfectly cooked authentic Italian cuisine served efficiently and professionally by dedicated staff. Management here is of the highest order with close attention paid to every detail. My wife had King Prawn Linguine and I had Pinola Pizza — both of supreme quality. When in Staines, my advice would be to visit Zizzi, and nowhere else!

A decent mid-range restaurant with a reasonable menu selection and reasonable prices. The staff seem happy to be worling there and the drinks are well priced for the area. The toilets and eating areas ate both kept clean.

I popped by the zizzi's in staines with a couple of my friends and although it was quite quiet, service was slow. As a result i couldn't exactly enjoy my food properly. Even the spaghetti pomodoro i had was cold. Hopefully this will change next time!

A very enjoyable evening. Prompt, polite service. All meals served without any delay and stayed hot all the time we were eating.

Wasn’t too busy. Quick service and food was out quick too. However as it was quiet staff were more occupied by stocking the bar and dealing with a drinks delivery. As a result my husbands dessert was wrong and then we couldn’t get anybody’s attention to switch it over so he ate it haha. Manager did realise the mistake and took that plus our after dessert coffees off the bill. In all, good lunch. Can’t ever really fault the food!

My wife, grandson and has lunch here whilst on a shopping/cinema trip. The pizzas were very enjoyable, as usual , both conventional ones and the stretched type, as I had. The service was cheerful and prompt. I liked the insulated glasses in which the coffee was served.

Came out for lunch today with my familu and we was served by the nicest gentelman with a christmas tree on his head. He was very knowledgable about the menu and my children havent stopped speaking about him since we left! The food was incredible, the set menu has so many options!

Had a lovely meal with a friend today despite having a slight problem with the food not being very warm. This was very soon rectified by the manager who was extremely polite and efficient and very apologetic. We were served by the same waiter as mentioned below. What fantastic service all round and great food. So nice to be served by true professionals and will definitely be returning.

Went in solo for a quick bite before returning to work. Was served by a lovely man with loads of tattoos, he ensured i wqa looked after for the entire meal. The pork belly is amazing and the coffee is good considering its a chain resturaunt.

Popped in yesterday for a quick meal before going out for drinks with friends, and i could not be happier with the service i receieved. My friends and i were served by jessica. She instantly made us feel relaxed and at home. The pork rustica is to die for and i highly suggest the browneton! Amazing atmosphere too! We had an amazing experience, food was cooked as it supposed to be, we received drinks, olives and food very very quickly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great as always and Tristan is the best server we ever had the pleasure to experience. Zizzi needs more people like Tristan. Thank you

Friends bought a menu experience for 2 for my birthday. So we booked the table and looked forward to the meal (I love Italian food). However, with the menu experience card you are only allowed to order from a set menu. The choices were pretty minimal.

This is one of our absolute favourite restaurants to visit in Staines. After a bad experience with Deliveroo, Zizzi, though they didn’t have to remade all of our food and we had the most lovely phonecall from the manager Tristan. He exemplifies what every manager in the catering industry should be, and along with their team, they create a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is sensational and very Gluten Free friendly and the team are always so charming and charismatic. Service when dining out really doesn’t get better than this! Amazing - thank you!

Absolutely delighted with the service and food at Zizzi Staines, the food is incredible, best Carbonara I’ve ever had and my partner adored the Wild Boar Meatballs Al forno. Salted Carmel brownie was gorgeous and my partner was raving about the Lemon Curd cheesecake. Would certainly spend money here again. All staff are so lovely and helpful. Upon entry I was greeted straight away from a smiley waitress! The manager was able to answer all my questions on what is best to eat as I am vegan. The wait for food was just right and the rustica pizza with the chilli dough was so delicious; I couldn’t resist ordering dessert. Thank you Zizi for the wonderful night and I will be back again soon.

Zizzi is one of my favourite restaurants to visit but I definitely noticed how different branches vary. Hands down the best branch to visit is in Staines. The best food, drinks & service. We always ask for our pasta dishes to be extra saucy and that is what we get (other branches can't seem to do this) and this is down to Tristan who we were lucky enough to be served by on our first visit & now we make sure we speak to him each time. He is such a great, down to earth funny guy - be sure to say hello to him on your next visit.

Zizzi is an excellent Italian restaurant, pizza is amazing, pasta is more than amazing, place is very comfortable and wide

Loved this place, food was bloody spectacular and the location is good, but it was mostly topped off by the fact that our waiter, Tristan, was a man sent by God to make our meal as good as it possibly could be, from his incredible personal service (no, not that kind of personal service) to his suggestions and knowledge of the menu, this guy is a pro.

Visited Zizzi Staines over the weekend with a group of friends and was very impressed with the overall experience.

Recently came to this Zizzi's for my boyfriends birthday. After very good suggestions we had a pizza and ravioli to share, both were delicious.

We enjoyed a lovely meal out before the cinema with quick and friendly service in stains, the food was delicious! and the atmosphere was brilliant we received our food within 10 minutes! Then we enjoyed some lovely coffee and tea before leaving.

Went to Zizzis for pre Cinema dinner - couldn’t guarantee we could eat without the hour but our waitress actively ensured we ordered quickly and our meals came within 10 minutes and we were looked after at every stage to ensure we could leave on time for our screening - fantastic customer service Thankyou
