Zizzi in Bracknell Forest

We had excellent, friendly service. The Manager was very professional and courteous - he thought of all the things we would need and brought them e.g. small plates when we were sharing a starter - in most places, you have to ask! The food was lovely, and our pizzas were great. The other staff were equally happy and helpful and concerned that you enjoyed your time at Zizzi's - very professional. Thanks

Revisited Zizzi’s after a while for a dinner with my partner and friends and we were completely shocked and disappointed. The experience started by being denied the table I asked for on my booking weeks in advance which was not a big issue at all, but than we were sat down at a table that hadn’t been cleaned properly. The booth seat was covered in crumbs and there were glass and spilled drink marks on the table itself. We had a server that was quite blunt and not very kind to us at all. We were rushed to order only to receive the wrong dishes at different times but also to receive some of them cold. No side plates were offered for starters, we struggled to get condiments. We weren’t allowed to use a money off voucher we had along with a taste card, but we weren’t told that up until the end which is also not a big issue but the way that was handled and communicated was unacceptable for hospitality. Not one we’ll be revisiting any time soon.

The most friendly and professional service I have had in a long time from KASIA and DAVE! When i return to Bracknell, I will for sure return due to the cosy welcome that we received.

We can't thank Manuel and his team enough for a great family meal out. He was happy to order the kids food first, so they didn't have to wait long. The gluten free options were great, allowing any pizza and pasta to be changed. My husband also thought the vegan options were great. The kids loved their selection and the fuss made over them. So some really really nice staff, the food was in general ok however one of the mains we ordered was inedible. Despite initial good start the kitchen let them down. Thankfully it was a spur of the moment thing not expecting much.

The waitress is impolite. She arranged a table nearby the door and mentioned not available seat to us as the tables are not cleaned. I have a high hope of the food but those foods are not disappointed me. Please don’t go there.

Went here for a meal with my Wife and 11 year old son , once seated it became quickly apparent the service was not going to great, we spent most of our time trying to flag down anyone so we could order despite the restaurant not actually being that busy. Our waitress turned up at our table once after we had ordered yelling something incoherent in the middle of a conversation and then left never to be seen again by us, but could be heard yelling at other tables for the rest of the evening in a similar fashion. The food turned up fairly quickly when we finally ordered and was hot, however was desperately disappointing for the price. All three meals were fairly tasteless and awful value for money as was the service. Would rather have gotten a ready meal pasta and frozen pizza.

Atmosphere was good, we were in a large group and nothing was too much trouble. 10/10 would eat here again

Just noticed that previous review from Dec 2021, shows I picked the same items? To save time I have copied my response as it is the same. "Decided on Calamari as a starter, was good (have had better), ok size but well cooked and tasty. Main was Casaraccia Pollo (chicken) Piccante (hot). Well cooked, good size and just on the right side of hot" The difference was this time I chose the lunch time menu, £23.95 and had the Tiramisu for dessert, excellent. Good menu, good service, pleasant surroundings what more do you want for a lunhc time visit. Nice large glass of White wine to wash it down, £30.60

Can’t fault this place one bit. Had a lovely Meal with the wife here recently. We always have a pasta and a pizza to share and never go home hungry. Service is great and the female blonde manager is always smiling and very welcoming.

We had a really wonderful lunch today. This is an exceptionally well managed, clean and tidy restaurant with exceptional staff. It’s wonderful to not have to ask for kids menus and colouring pencils, we never had to find our waiter he was always at hand despite the busy Saturday rush. I have attended Zizzi in Bracknell many times and thoroughly enjoyed my food and service in the past. Unfortunately I turned up today and this was not the same. I placed an order of two drinks for a friend and I which was accepted, then the waiter came back asking only me for my ID. I am almost 22 and have not been asked for my ID for 4/5 years as I do tend to be mistaken for being older. Because of this I did not have any ID on me, the waiter then asked for photographic proof to which I showed my University ID, Uni Days account and my British Passport. He claimed the university ID was not valid ( even though it has a picture, name and DOB) he then proceeded to claim my passport had no date on it. When I pointed at the date he then accepted the ID after staring at it for a further 5 minuets. Then the manager came over and looked shocked when she saw us both as we are clearly of age but clearly felt she had to stand by her colleagues mistake so then for the 3rd time refused the sale after being told twice before my proof was suffice. She then said they cannot accept ID if it is a photo which I do understand, but why then did the waiter ask me for photographic proof? It was very clear the waiter did not know what a British passport even looked like or the correct ID he should even be looking for. The whole situation was dealt with very poorly as it was resolved, then unresolved multiple times. I feel that it would be wise for Zizzi staff to be trained on what ID they can and cannot accept and what a passport even looks like. The whole experience was drawn out and made us feel very unwelcome and embarrassed due to the constant changing of opinion.We still tried to carry on with our meal after this but the service was slow and we were then left waiting almost 20/30 minuets for our Bill. I was shocked by this whole experience and although I understand physical ID is an essential in most places I feel the situation was not dealt with professionally or appropriately. Our evening sadly did not live up to past expectations.

At least we can laugh and enjoy each other's company. And the conversation flows, for without these things and the fact that we can afford a day out the terrible food and service may have ruined our day. I don't know what is going on in the service industry, whether it is lack of pride in ones delivery, complacent management or just laziness the money one pays may as well be thrown on a bonfire for all the quality you receive in return. Overcooked, tepid food and moderate service could have ruined our outing but we rose above it and decided to roll with it. However serious thought needs to be given to how this establishment is run.......

Have been to the Camberley branch but never this one. booked a table on-line, very easy for 3. Attentitive staff from entry to payment. Good menu, like the wild boar and venison dishes. We ended up having one of the winrter set menu's and two individual selections. Couple of beers and soft drinks. Sat near the kitchen which was good as the "team" really worked well together. The calamari starter was excellent and my wild boar meatballs were just spicy enough without being over the top. We all enjoyed the food and the sizes were good. Tiramisu was ok, have had a lot better (mind you some a lot worse as well). Overall a good decision enjoyed by all. Will be back.
