Zero Juice & Sushi in Dacorum

I went back for more tried the nigiri and some other bits was evan better than the 1st time. Amazing, light fresh, and surprisingly filling 1st time trying sushi after contemplating it for too long. I tried the salmon avocado rolls highly recommended, and I will definitely be back to try more. Zero has set the bar very high if you like fresh healthy food. This place is a must.

Sweet little sushi/Japanese curry place on Berko. Staff were super lovely, food was decent and portions pretty darn big at a very fair price. Worth checking out!

Incredible sushi - genuinely the best I’ve had in years!

A great place to grab a quick sushi bite - the salmon poke and chicken terriaki were excellent. Staff super friendly and I particularly enjoyed the sushi puns!

Zero Sushi provided us with the most amazing wedding breakfast over the weekend. The sushi was made off-site, and they cooked the main food in the venue kitchen. Everyone absolutely loved it! The quality and taste were both exceptional. Ben provided great communication throughout. I would highly recommend Zero Sushi as a wedding caterer!

Delicious, authentic sushi and flavourful miso soup! We often choose Zero for family takeaway evenings, and never regret it. Would definitely recommend, it’s just a bit pricey!

Before lockdown I used to go to Zero Sushi quite often. I am a huge fan of sashimi and the Hamachi and Salmon sashimi here are excellent. You might think that you can't really go wrong with sashimi, but it is all in the fish selection, and they obvioulsy take care to purchase really good quality sushi grade fish.

Easy ordering system online, fast service, delicious food, good size portions and great customer service. This place is very popular and it’s easy to see why.

I have heard of lot of great things about Zero Sushi, and it certainly did not disappoint. The staff are extremely passionate about providing the best experience and service for both frequent and new customers. My only concern was I should have purchased more! Cannot wait to visit again.

The best sushi I’ve had since I’ve been to Tokyo... extremely fresh fish, and PROPER wasabi!! Not the liquid supermarket paste, actual ingredients and actual sushi!! It was so so good, I will now not go anywhere else! We also had a katsu curry, chicken gyozas and prawn teriyaki, it was so good we went back for more the next day!!😍 it was so crispy and so flavoursome! They even gave me extra nigiri!!! You will not regret an order with Zero Sushi, absolutely unbelievable food!!

Everyone is talking about Zero, in this sad, depressing time where we have turn ourselves away from our loved ones. If you are living under rock then I am dicussing the horrid virus which probably know about, and won't go into further details, as it may upset my viewrers. Katsu, Katsu, Katsu. There is know doubt in the significance of the famous taste of Zero's food. I as a critcic can't fault it, which is saying something coming from me. My complaint, starts with the kids, there always in there and i personally don't have an objection to them ,as they look very happy and kind, and you can see their smiles lighten up when their order number is read out. They glee off with happiness up, up and away of to costa where they spend another sum of money. Many occaisons, queues has been straming along the road whichi have an issue with, due to child safety. And even when they get to the fornt of the line they are disspointed, because they've run out of rice/ the actual curry, which in my world is unacceptable. Indoor catering space, for visitors and customers in limited and can only say, there are 18 seats to be exact. I personally, have witnessed theft and kids stealing sushi and water, without paying, i think as a contribution for Zero, they should have a security guard outside and scanning people, with the modern recent technonology. I hope you enjoyed reading my opinions.

We had a craving for Sushi so googled for a localish restaurant (10 miles across country)and came across zero, our first intention was to eat in for lunch, but saw on their website that they did platters for takeout so decided that we would order one and have it for dinner with a good bottle of pop. Ordering was very easy and they just took our name without any payment, our platter was ready for collection at the agreed time and looked great from the presentation, it came with plenty of soy sauce and wasabi. We had the platter a few hours later and it was as good as it looked, the sushi rolls with tempura were still crispy and the Tuna nigri was first class the Tuna was so tender it literally melted in the mouth We felt that £30 for the Shou platter was good value and we had more than enough to have lunch the next day. This was our first time using Zero but definitely won’t be the last

4 stars only based on my previous experience, food was 5 stars in all honesty but the recent experience wasn't. I popped in yesterday to have the dish I ordered previously which was £40 to notice on their food board it says "out £40" "in £48" so to sit inside and eat you have to pay another £8??? Before getting in I was debating if should even get the £60 option, but that...was £72 if we were to sit in and eat, that is a huge rip off! If it was a really fancy restaurant etc with lots of space inside then fair enough, but it's a tiny little cafe and there are like 3 tables in there and 6 high chairs or so by the window, so charging extra to sit in is ridiculous, really put us off and we walked out!

We ordered 2 large platters of Sushi and it was absolutely delicious. Beautifully arranged & put together. There were 6 of us eating and it didn’t take long to devour. It’s best eaten with the wasabi, ginger and soy sauce for me it makes it. If you don’t like heat then don’t add the wasabi We ordered our food over the phone and paid for it on collection. I can only apologise for no photos, it was so delicious it was all gone within minutes. We all love Sushi especially from Zero. Highly recommend

Knowledgeable staff provided useful advice. Food was quick, fresh and tasty. Good value for money, obviously a bit more expensive than fast food but worth the quality and taste! Went for takeaway and enjoyed in the local park in the sun ☀

I remember these guys as being the best sushi ever, with the best Staff and atmosphere. The owners could not do enough to help and just great to chat too. Not anymore. They have cut back on portion sizes. They are always out of stock of everything, there is very little choice now, sushimi is just pale salmon. Their pricing is ridiculous. Not so much for the sushi, the price is "reasonable" but their cold brew coffee is £3 for a tiny can. Get with it guys. Cold-brew is £2.60 for £250ml usually in most stores. I have purchases EIGHTY20 from many places at £2.20 for these tiny cans, not £3. Stop being greedy. They have stopped making fresh juice also with the excuse that cold press is better. Yes, guys, Coldpress is better if you drink it as soon as it is pressed. Your juices are plastic bottled cold press, which breaks down the vitamins quick and is bad for the environment. You can't just hand over the shop to teenage staff, up your prices and disappear!!! I miss the old Zero. Not this new greedy profit profit profit zero.

The raw fish served on the Sushi at Zero is just like how I've always had them in Japan. The fish is thickly sliced, very fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the rice is sometimes cooked not as well...I've had nigiri at Zero with rice that were undercooked and crunchy. The art of sushi is not just the slicing or freshness of the fish...it is the combination of properly cooked medium grain rice. Having said that, sometimes, Zero gets it right and the rice is cooked perfectly...just not consistent...

Was actually suprised at how good and consistent the quality of the sushi is at zero, having eaten a lot on asia it really stands up well, and better than a lot of the bland suhi availabel in the UK, some of the fish they are using is really outstanding quaity for sushi, some superb salmon.The interior has an appropriate decor, and plety of zen usic to accompany your meal, particularly like the bench seats along the wondows for watching the wolrd go by. Ive walys found the portions appropriate, but could always eat more happily. Veyr happy to have a suhi bar of this quality in Berkhamsted.

Surprisingly good sushi in the centre of Berkhamsted. Everything we have tried at Zero has been excellent. A favorite lunch spot in the centre of town.

First things first - I am really happy that the people of Berkhamsted has Zero as an option for their lunch, the quality of the food has always been fantastic and to watch the sushi being made is a joy. However the portion (i am a Chicken Katsu fan) offered has at best been erratic over the last couple of years and now it has got ridiculous. Several of my work colleagues (office on the high street) have visited Zero on a semi regular basis for lunch and have often commented on the range of dish sizes that have been received across that time - to the point where it was felt by most that the value for money had tipped the wrong way due to the amount of food received. However i thought i would give it another go today as it had been a little while since i have had one. The price at £6 was ok and the offer of going large was noted on the menu - so i went for it and handed over my £8.50 (quite a bit for a lunch in my view but maybe not to everyone). I was expecting at least one of the white take away boxes with perhaps double the amount of chicken that i was used to. What i received was a real disappointment. A small brown box, at best half the size of the previous take away boxes i was used to (maybe giving away how long it is since i have been in). So for £8.50 i was getting half of what i expected! Upon opening the box it was clear that there was probably less rice and about the same amount of chicken i expected based on my previous experience with the standard size. Not in any way a 'large' option and i really don't feel it was worth £8.50. The sauce as ever was properly tasty and i did enjoy the meal. The chicken was not as good as previously had, more fatty that i have had before, but that is just knit picking, it really is tasty. I'm just really disappointed and i can't imagine what is provided for £6. Oh well, guess it just isn't the place for me - will still pop back when i can't resist another katsu hit though i am sure.

Really nice food, not an enormous selection but what they offer is good Tad on the pricey side for sushi itself in my opinion but the freshness and quality of the ingredients probably explains that Limited tables and seating although a lot of people seem to take out

Quite expensive but the katsu curry (prawn or chicken) is incredible and the sushi is made right in front of you and very tasty

I would have loved to try their sushi but we popped there on a Monday lunch for my birthday and were told that due to one other order being in, we would have to wait 40 minutes. Will try again at some point, but it seemed an excessive amount of time for Monday lunch.

I’m slightly addicted to their chicken katsu, which is delicious. Food is generally good, but pricey. Pick your time to visit as it’s a small place, and it’s often full of school kids.

Always great to have sushi as a light snack. Zero Juice & Sushi has some fresh and tasty sushi and great juices available. Always clean and service is prompt. see ya all again...

We walked past a few offering £10 mains and happened on Zero. Tasty teriyaki. Not had Japanese much so can't compare to others but fresh food, friendly

Sushi is good but needs a clear menu and vegan/veggie options limited. Having tofu option on curries would be great.

I have started to use Zero for lunch sometimes. The Katsu curry is delicious, the service is good and the people are friendly. Try it you'll love it.

Fabulous sushi and jasmine tea. Shame you cannot tell, driving past, its a SUSHI Bar. The black branding (on black background) lets it down. Big branding on the windows would work. Best of luck

Absolutely brilliant. Louis and his guys make fantastic food. The Katsu chicken is out of this world.

This place has gone down hill. The more shops they open the more their portion sizes shrink. They got lazy and closed on Sundays. Now they got even lazier and close bank holidays. If you don't want to work just close. Stop holding back on portions. You are very expensive but I have never complained because of the portions and quality. Now it's getting a joke. The staff don't care anymore either. When the owners ran this place it was amazing. Totally gone down hill. Portions and staff are questionable.

I have eaten Japanese cuisine all around the world, and many times in Japan, and Zero is up there with the best of them. Collect, take home and enjoy with a good bottle of sake. Sheer magic.

The staff are friendly enough and will make you up a vegan sushi platter when asked , juice was fresh and pleasant I had a takeaway But the smell is unbearable and I'm used to going to yo sushi and it doesn't smell like that . Had to have a long walk around the castle before I could enjoy my takeaway.

Their katsu curry is delicious, and incredibly good value for money. Sushi can get really expensive, but it's reasonably priced here, a fabulous treat.

I love this place. The food is amazing. My partner and I both love sushi and this is one of the best places around! Unfortunately they only open for lunch Monday - Saturday and over Christmas they were hardly open at all. A shame.

We went there for lunch , fresh juices are excellent . Their sushi is very good , they have veggi one too . I love their sashimi . The place is too small for seating down for lunch and very busy . So we decided to take away our food . Big shame they are only open for lunch and not dinner . A little pricey but there again good fish is always expensive

I try and pop in at least once a week if time allows and always go for the teriyaki chicken sushi roll and the wasabi salmon sushi roll. Freshly prepared in the kitchen whilst you wait it's hands down my favourite lunch stop in Berkhamsted.

We came down to Harpenden to visit family and came across this amazing Sushi and Juice shop/restaurant. The sushi was made in front of us from beautiful fresh ingredients by the owner who informed us he had learnt the art of making sushi in USA.The juices were also freshly made or available to buy ready done. Takeaway is also available.The staff were all very friendly and helpful and I would definitely visit here again for a very healthy snack or meal next time I'm in the south.

After lunch here, I feel like I have done myself a favour. There is a tempting and extensive fresh juice menu, served in sensible sized mugs. The sushi selection is great, so fresh, and wasabi on the side to accommodate fussy teenagers. Lucky Berkhamsted.

We've been getting a take-away from here once a week for several months now and really enjoy the sashimi and sushi as it always tastes fresh and looks good. We've tried a few other dishes from their hot menu which were also good. Sometimes they run out of stuff which can be frustrating. It's also quite expensive.The service can be a bit lacking at times.We would have like to give 3.5/Good but as it's not an option on TA we went for 4/Very Good.

I have been to zero many times in the past half a year, and I'm still not fed up with it. The Katsu curry and duck gyoza is my usual order and 90% of the time i receive my full order, hot, in 5/10 minutes which is good compared to other restaurants around. Also, I am often greeted at the door and said goodbye to as I leave. Overall it is a very good place to eat with a family or friends as it is warming, delicious and not too expensive. I would strongly recommend my order, if you arent the sushi fan, but there are lots of great things to choose from that I haven't even got to yet! Great place!

We stopped in for a very early dinner (the only kind you can have at Zero which sadly closes at 5pm, last order at 4:30). Our first visit and we were very pleased. The sushi is excellent. We highly recommend the Zero special which is a crispy giant prawn roll with other stuff, incredibly tasty. We noticed they open at 8 am but there was nothing on the menu we saw, besides the yummy juices, that were (traditional English) breakfast foods. The staff said there was a kitchen refit coming in a couple weeks, and after that they may start opening later, for proper dinner, which would be fantastic! Given there's no other sushi within a ten mile radius, you'd think dinner hours would be a no-brainer.

If you like REAL sushi, you'll love Zero. You'll never go back to M&S, Yo Sushi or anything mass produced and not as fresh as Zero's handmade nibbles.My wife and I have eaten the menu from one end to the other on many visits- never anything less than 99pc perfect. The little cafe in Harpenden, across from Waitrose, is small but perfectly formed

I so want to love it here. It should be amazing. It should be a great addition to to the town. Sadly, it's not. The food is ok, but it's so overpriced for what you get. There are far superior, better value sushi restaurants around. The staff were unfriendly, the portions were very small and the juices are ridiculously expensive (it's just juice, people!). Atmosphere is severely lacking and you feel as if you're being watched the whole time. It made for a really uncomfortable lunch. As an aside, there isn't a toilet on the premises, which isn't an issue for some, but it is for me.

Wow what a place, great flavours and great services. The sushi was filling and fantastic. This is not the biggest place I have been in but the food was out of this world. Look out for this place as they stock the new dressqurades products. Well worth a visit

The food, the quality and the decor of this place tick so many boxes for me... But I haven't had a 5-star visit yet.The first time I visited, I only ordered a juice but it cost me around £4 and I waited 20 minutes for it. The staff had forgotten that I'd ordered and when reminded, they then had to go to market and buy one of the main ingredients to make it! It was a bit awkward but I put it down to the lunchtime rush. No harm done!The second time I visited, I had to wait again. I wasn't too fussed because we'd ordered mains this time, which we knew would take longer, and after 10 minutes of waiting the staff apologised. But, 5 minutes after assuring us our food was coming, they came and asked us to remind them what we'd ordered. So, they'd managed to forget/lose my order again! When the food did come, the waiter said the chicken katsu had been a pain to bread. I don't mind waiting for freshly-made food and I appreciated his apology for the delay, but I don't think customers need to know that their dish was a hassle to make. I can see from the reviews above that the food is never at fault. A little tweaking to their demeanour and logistics and I think they'd be made :)

A very popular lunchtime venue for takeaway or eat in Japanese and sushi. Freshly made in front of your very eyes by Japanese chef you can't fault the authenticity of the food or the quality. The katsu curry was divine. Lots of healthy food and drinks in a casual setting.

The food and service are at either ends of the spectrum! The food on one hand is excellent. Fresh and lovely sushi, better than any of the big sushi places I frequent. If you choose to eat in, the service however is dreadful. Unprofessional, rude and forgetful. On both occasions I visited the young gentleman serving needed reminding of our order. He calls everyone 'mate' which you can only get away with if you're Australian, which he's not, therefore it's just plain rude.Avoid this place if you're easily wound up by rude, forgetful serving staff as it makes the food go sour!

For Sushi, in Berko... you've got to expect it's gonna cost! The Sushi I've had here has been brilliant and my wife loves the juice they make.

I love this place, but have only ever done take aways with both friends and family, but last time we ate in & it was really lovely - very busy on a Friday lunchtime, but the school kids don't always hang around, so not too bad. Eating in did mean that we ate more - could have stayed and eaten all day, the food is so good!
