Zeera in Mid Suffolk

We recently stayed at a local air bnb who recommended Zeera and we were not disappointed. We ordered from the Sunday night buffet menu which was delivered promptly and was piping hot. All the food was delicious and tasted so fresh. Would highly recommend.

Good value offer but sadly the overall quality was poor and the currys lacked taste. The lamb in the curry was tender but just didn't meet expectations. Unfortunately we ended up throwing most of it in the bin, wouldn't recommend

While anxiously waiting for our dog undergoing surgery at the local vet we fell upon this amazing informal Indian Restaurant. The food was the best I have tasted in a long time. The pashwari naan was in a class of it's own. It is provided in a sport and leisure centre but it was encouraging to see that families with children were relaxed and happy and the staff who ran the business kind and helpful. Used to love these takeaways but since they changed hands a few years ago the food is tasteless and watery. Every 6 to 8 months we give it another go as it’s our nearest takeaway but should really stop kidding myself the food is still terrible

We had a takeaway for four yesterday evening. This was the first time we had used Zeera. The food was amazing. Very tasty and price reasonable. Staff were very friendly also. Will definitely have takeaway from them again.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery to our holiday barn in Stonham Aspel. It was about the only place we could find that would deliver. What a pleasant surprise. The food was just the right temperature and really, really good. My Jalfrezi had an excellent heat to it, but allowed plenty of flavours to come through - you could taste the Tikka on the meat. A real find! Delivery was much quicker than they had advised as well.

Mukhta is not only an amazing person with his charitable work but he and his team conjure up the most amazing curries! We are regular customers.

On holiday in nearby Stonham Aspal, ordered a meal for delivery. It arrived on time, extremely tasty and good value. Would recommend.

Used Zeera for a while now and have to say we've been reasonably satisfied until now. To say the telephone manner of the guy who answered was poor would be the biggest understatement of all time. When I called to place the order I had to double check I called the right number as all I got was a few grunts sounding like I'd just called some miserable guys house phone in the middle of the night. I clearly and precisely asked him if they could do a vegan korma. To which he unequivocally and confidently said yes. No "I'll need to double check" or "let me call you back". I then made sure what I heard was correct and that they could do a vegan korma, to which he confirmed confidently. Despite his terrible telephone manner and sounding like he'd rather be pretty much anywhere but on the phone with me, I placed the rest of my order and we looked forward to our dinner. At least 30 minutes later, I receive a call from the same person, saying they couldn't offer a vegan korma. I asked if they could offer ANY vegan dish, to which he said no. No apology, no sympathy towards the customer, not even the slightest glimmer or care or understanding in his voice. I told him how unhappy I was and that my partner would have no food and again, no apology and no care in the world. I asked to cancel my order to which he replied "you can't, it's on its way". I told him that I wasn't paying for something when you havent delivered what I ordered and he passive aggressively said "thanks very much" and hung up on me. Low and behold the delivery driver knocks on the door with the food and I had to explain to the poor guy, who had come out of his way, that I'd cancelled the order. I apologised to him as I felt bad and it clearly wasn't his fault.In summary, this is the worst customer service I've received in years and we will definitely not be using them again. What a way to deter a regular customer. AVOID.

Absolutely amazing. As good a curry as we’ve had in years and we eat a LOT of curry! I can’t believe how good value it was, the Wednesday night deal is insane. And delivery as well. Thank you!

Staying in Thorndon for a few nights and ordered from here, it came in really good time, was lovely and warm and the driver was so friendly and nice! Food was lovely!! Thank you

We are staying in the area this week and ordered a takeaway to be delivered from Zeera tonight. There aren't many other choices locally, so we weren't really sure what to expect but it exceeded expectations; by far actually. We had onion bhaji, tandoori king prawn massala, vegetable dopiaza, sag paneer, pilau rice and naan bread and it was all delicious. Added to which, I meant to tip them £5 but accidentally gave them an extra £20 note on top. A few minutes later the driver returned and asked whether we'd meant to tip so highly, and returned the extra £20. I think that says a lot about the integrity of the people working there. We'll definitely order again if we're ever back in the area. Highly recommended!

Where do i start we orderded from the phone it came on time but 3 of the orders were the wrong items and cheese and chips half cooked and the sheek kebab looked odd unacceptable shame i cant get a refund

Been using Zeera for years and they are always consistently very good. Apparently the review must be at least 100 characters long so I'm filling. I didn't think you needed to know any more than I said :-)

All the food here, eat inor takeaway is always spot on. Best chicken tikka masala ever. King prawn purée is heavenly. Naans were light and fluffy. Shame we are moving 🥇

Was looking forward to a Indian takeaway the takeaway was hot, tasty, But unfortunately the portion size was half the cartons so was disappointed if I do go back will mention about potion size

We were staying at nearby Woodfarm Barns and found a menu in the accommodation so we thought we’d give it a whirl. A nice choice of vegetarian dishes, delivered promptly and really nice food. We’re planning another trip in the future so will definitely use again.

Despite living in the area for a year, I had not been here before - somehow we’d missed out on Indian takeaways since we’d moved.We really had been missing out. Our range is not adventurous, but everything we ordered came out as gorgeous. Nothing was too oily / greasy / runny, flavours were fantastic and, since I had picked a quiet evening, everything was clearly cooked freshly to order.Just waiting for an excuse for the next visit.

We were staying at wood farm barns holiday cottages & in the helpful info supplied by the owner Carl were the details for zeera Indian takeaway. We’re glad he did, we had an excellent meal that was delivered to the door. Thanks Zeera team it was superb.

A tasty set meal while on holiday ticks all the boxes and Zeera got 10/10 from us. Excellent quick service, delicious, plentiful, moist meat, perfect sauces, naan just right and so handy when it can be on your plate within minutes. I really don't understand how the previous reviewer found fault. It was as good as any Indian restaurants we have eaten in!

We live in a nearby village and have used this takeaway for years but lately it has gone downhill. The meat is tough and flavourless the curries are watery, bland and overly sweet. My last plate was literally running in water. The rice again had no flavour and the naan sweet and soggy. There is no depth or comple, no heart in this food. This was not a blip the last three have been practically inedible. We will not be back. Such a shame we used to invite friends and family over for these takeaways.

My husband and I had a takeaway from Zeera whilst staying in Debenham on holiday. Wednesday was their banquet night, so £11 each for starter, main, side and rice or naan. It was delivered as they promised in 30mins. Really nice meal, would definitely recommend to others.

We ordered take away for 2 - lamb korhai tikka and lamb chilli mosala with rice and a side of vegetable bahji. We didn’t have to wait long before it was ready. The food was flavoursome, hot in the spicy sense and the lamb was tender, the veg bahji was very good too. We were pleased we went there and would definitely go there again for takeaway.

Have used Zeera many times for a takeaway and have only had one or two meals that were not quite up to their usual standard but as this is extremely rare it hasn't put us off ordering from them again. There does seem to be a little inconsistency with the complimentary popadoms and salad. Sometimes they are in your takeaway bag and sometimes not and this does not seem to relate to your bill as we always spend about the same. Do miss these little extras when they are not given.

Going on the tripadvisor information, l ordered meals for three, Chicken tikka Dansak X2 and a Chicken tekka biriani for my daughter, the food was delicious, hot and plentiful, great first takeaway during our Suffolk holiday.

Lovely Indian food delivered straight to your door by friendly staff. What could be better on a Saturday night! Yummy!

The food is great, the service is reliable and speedy, and they are completely able to manage dietary requirements. Can't rate it highly enough!

Didn't know what to think, when I walked around and around outside, and then eventually, and I hasten to add, reluctantly, went into Debenham Leisure Centre still in search of, and what was appearing to be, a very elusive Indian restaurant. I had walked into what appeared to be a typical club bar. There were also signs clearly stating that it was a café as well. The tables were empty. However, customers or club members were sipping beer and sitting at the bar chatting and relaxing after the end of some exertive exercise, still dressed in their sports gear, track suites or shorts. I had no reason to doubt, that it was indeed the leisure centre refreshment area. I explained that I had been told there was an indian restaurant somewhere in or near the centre. The pleasant girl serving drinks pointed to the small desk next to the bar. "Thats it" she said. The restaurant area didn't look particularly inviting. The atmosphere as well as the temperature felt pretty cold. Anyway, I ordered my food but made the decision to eat it at home. Based on all this, I really didn't expect the food to be much cop. But once again I was pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty okay and I have to say, especially good for a takeaway. I will definitely be going back there, certainly for takeaways, if not the restaurant. Overall it was a really bizarre experience.

Recommended in the welcome folder by the Barns owner, Carl Scott we were not disappointed. Brilliant service, delivered nice and hot and very promptly for a Saturday night (based on our home town experience..). Good quality food, delicious and very fresh ingredients. Thank you Zeera.

Lovely to have the occasional Indian takeaway, with authentic flavours and dishes. They even find us out in the sticks to deliver!

We had family from the midlands and London area over to stay and all said was brilliant curry, brilliant value for money and they all can't wait to come back just for another takeaway!

Pedimos comida para llevar en esta noche y convertido Zeera a tiempo, ese es el único elogio que le puedo dar. La comida resultó una piedra fría y tuvimos que calentar, en el microondas. Mi compañero tenía un arroz de verduras y champiñones bhuna, pedí pollo tikka masala con pilau arroz y patatas bombay para compartir. Mi pareja se describe la suya y bien. Mi "pilau" arroz blanco con fragancia era el tikka masala picantes era un rojo vibrante en una salsa de coco espesa que era más como un Korma de masala. No me gusta el arroz de zumo de limón, así no era algo que pedí y no me gusta y realmente no korma no como coco. Me tomó un par de grandes fork luego acabo de vaciar mi plato a la basura. Siento decir que será la última vez que tengo nada de ellos.

I have been frequenting Zeera's since they first opened and can honestly say I have never been disappointed with the quality of food served up. Considering they are based in the corner of the lounge at the Debenham Leisure Centre they are always prompt with the usually quite large orders I place with them. The range of dishes is very good and the six dishes we order vary from Lamb Vindaloo to Vegetable Dhansak to Chicken Chilli Tikka Masala . All very good. Highly recommended

An excellent takeaway tucked away in Debenham. First time I ordered. Food came out on time. Everything was cooked to perfection, in particular the lamb was just amazing!! The manager at the front I think his name was Mukhta. Very polite man. Would definitely go again. They were holding a theme night in a hall next door. We went in to see. It looked amazing. There was some Indian dancing happening and the DJ looked good!!

Visited this establishment regularly and very good food at reasonable prices, including take away meals.

Thought we would have a takeaway evening, so came here, our son had eaten here before and said it was excellent, we had 2 different dishes with rice and potatoes, one dish was very salty, and the other was over powered by coconut to the point of being overly sweet, both where revolting and very disappointing.

We eat from here regularly and can rely on it for consistently excellent food at great prices. They also deliver to us and we are 5 miles away. Thanks guys

Had the Sunday Banquet today which was lovely. Priced at £10 for starter, main, side, rice or naan it was an absolute bargain and lots of food to go round. Will recommend to anyone who loves Indian food.
