Zand's Take Away Food Shops in Blackburn with Darwen

Will stick with dominoes as they can take an order and deliver it hot and correct atleast. Frustrating as it's not the first time, called to mention. Did offer a free pizza but weren't willing to wait another hour after a long day, refund would have stopped this review. Not the first time its turned up incorrect and cold.

The food is first class - best kebabs in Blackburn. The chicken wings & fries are amazing. I've been using Zands for 10 years+ Recently there's been changes to the delivery charges where VAT isn't shown in the prices but added at the time of payment. No other takeaway does this. A bit underhanded & disappointing. There needs to be clarity on pricing & delivery prices shouldn't cost more than prices in the shop.

Use zands on a regular basis but tonight the kebab was one of the worst I have ever had. Donna meat was burnt to a crisp the pitta bread was greasy hardly any sauce overall shocking.

Wow that was the best mixed Kabab I’ve had, talk about a packed kabab loads of meat ( not stuffed with salad like lots I’ve had from other outlets ) 10 out 10 guys

Had the most delicious chicken kebab here back in 2016. I'll fly to UK and take that train to Blackburn just to relive that amazing taste.

I got a kabab with all the trimmings it was brilliant as always, always good food not greasy at all everything fresh, brilliant happy staff nice and clean.

The worst takeaway pizza I’ve ever had. It was undercooked and the topping literally slipped off the dough. Plus a hair was found on the garlic bread which is never nice. For the same price you can get Pizza Hut or Dominos do yourself a favour and just go there.

This is the best kebab shop in Blackburn, they haven't changed since I've been going for 20 years.. keep it up Lisa and the team

Unfortunately had to eat here for the third time tonight. Pizza was very greasy and this is the second time I have had a horrible stomach ache after eating here. Do not recommend and Never coming back. However, chips were decent so I’ll give credit where it’s due.

Terrible customer service, terribly greasy food. Very expensive for what we got. Never going again.

Tried charging me 18 quid for a large kebab and a kids chicken strips and chips what a joke avoid this place complete rip off merchants 2 weeks ago they told me cash only when I had been ordering for months from there something really dodgy about these people

I have used Zands for many years but tonight you failed badly. Order a large Donner a small Donner kebabs and large chips. Order arrived both kebabs were small and chips was small. Rang to complain as it says on there site ring if you have a problem. Total waste of time they said that the bags that they write on to say what's in them nothing on them the so called large chips were in a box that you just put a burger in and not the box that you put burger and chips in. We no what we get when we order large we order the same thing every time we order. We have taken pictures Zands if you care to see them and will give you chance to apologize if you wish to contact us but I won't hold my breath after the way you spoke to us on the phone

Placed an order on Wednesday and have to say it was the best food I’ve had from here. Piping hot and exactly what I ordered. We’ve been using Zands for many years, but that night was the best! Fast delivery, friendly delivery driver and value for money.

I've been going here 15 years and since they have new people starting every week they get my order wrong every time for the past 6 months . Im writing this now cause this is the 3rd time in a week they got my order wrong . Ordered a chicken & Donna kebab which cost me £10 have about 4 little pieces of chicken and few bits of Donna meat. No sauce hardley, was completely dry aswell. I'm going to stop going now . Shame they can't get the right staff. I'm sick of ringing and complaining.

Just got some food delivered after waiting 1 hour and 15 mins and the food was absolutely horrible. I havent tried this takeaway food before but i certainly wont be ordering again. The garlic bread with cheese, tuna and onion looked disgusting. It looked like the cheese was going off and all stuck together in lumps. The onions were still raw. It didnt taste of anything, just completely bland. I dont want to be getting ill eating this food. I will report this takeaway to trading standards. I have pictures of all the food.

Absolutely appalling food. Tasteless and very bland. Very expensive too. Extremely small portions for the high price. Staff made me wait for a long time. Served people who came later than I did. They was out with order before me! Yet ordered the same as me. The customers didn't order for collection. They ordered directly in the shop. Absolutely shocking. I actually noticed one of the staff members scratching his sweaty nose. He didn't wash his hands and continued to handle food and serve customers. Glad he didn't touch my food, or I would've refused to order. Poor, poor hygiene. Not worth level 4 hygiene rating. Won't be going again.

Not sure what's happened to this place but it's second time iv got it and it's absolutely awful swimming in garlic, cold and Donna meat tasteless, salad was left in the Bag that long I lifted the bag out and it fell out due to being soggy. Will not be giving it another go. Shame used to be the best around

Ordered the Shish kebab, described as marinated lamb however it’s beef and not lamb which is misleading. However what you do get is nice and always warm.

Hmmmm don't believe the rating this place is a 2 star at best. The chicken was dry and not much taste and the doner meet was very bland. The garlic bread looked good but the top was cooked and bottom wasn't also made before my kebab so by the time I got it, it was cold. Definitely not up to the standard of lots of other places around the country that serve the same food. Won't be coming back again.

Over an hour to deliver when told 1/2 hour won't be going back

So it got to around 11:30 at night and me and my girlfriends dad thought we fancied a good tasty filling kebab. Zand’s was the first place which Popped into our mind as we are locals! Got there and ordered a Mixed grill kebab which states skurer’s of chicken (which is a plural so 2) skurer of lamb and donnar. So driving back home with the smell of the kebab but was we shocked when we got home finding out that we had one piece chicken each and half a piece of lamb... it was basicly a donnar kebab with a little bit of chicken and lamb.... I won’t be attending this takeaway any time soon again as I feel they was to take the piss out of drunk people and rip them off. Don’t be a fool as I will be goin g back tomorrow to complain verbally.

I have been going here so long that they inositol managed a delivery order in a 4 seconds phone call. Super fast delivery and awesome pizzas. The staff are great!

Came in last night and ordered the mixed kebab, chips and garlic bread with cheese - all made fresh to order and was very impressed and great value for money - haven't been here in years, glad to have been again :)
