Zak's Takeaway Manchester in Bury

Been going here for years but had 2 shocking recent orders, a "mixed kebab" with 5 pieces of chicken tikka on it and an absolute ton of salad and cucumber. Was quite late at night and they did swap it but it was a real farce then a burnt pizza and cold chips the other night. Sort yourselves out please

Absolutely amazing food and service from all and James,nothing ever to much! Now we have established a garlic bread with cheese and tomato with red donner and salad and hot sauce ,it a cazza special! Best takeaway ever and got try my special it yummy !

Ordered a curry tonight very little chicken meat etc very miserely all sauce minimal meat very disappointed. Naan was great stop scrimping on the meat content 3 /10 to me . I paid £12 and tipped the driver only to be not happy

The pizza was flat, dry and tasteless and burnt, if you are going to increase prices then quality should Also count as that was one of the worst pizzas I have tried to eat in a while. And because the boxes are closed until I reached home to eat it you must think it doesn't matter the quality of service that should be reached.

The best curry, ( lamb karahi) I've had over in Greater Manchester by a million miles..30 minutes from order to pick up, great service. Not been since new take over. 100% for a decent Asian Style curry. From a Leeds lad..👌👌

Sorry,meat samosa never seen meat Chapati rubber, sheesh kebab too red for me ,not a good flavour, but I tried them, never seen yellow mint sauce before,very thick

Woeful, shambolic takeaway. First time order. Took over 2 and a half hours to deliver a bag of stone cold food despite estimating an hour. Repeated phone calls to the takeaway with the usual "he's on his way mate" lies. This is typical of the lack of quality from similar amateur cowboy outfits empowered by just eat pre-payment so there's no recompense. The expected 'sorry we were busier than usual' text was received the next day following complaining to just eat. Here's an innovative idea guys, don't accept an order if you're too busy/incompetent to fulfill and save letting paying customers down! Sadly there was nothing redeeming about the food, as low quality as it gets. I can see from the many negative reviews im not the only one, I must be mad ordering from this poundland-takeaway cesspit.

Place needs closing down! Staff are absolutely shocking and clearly don’t know the first thing about running a takeaway! Food was over 2 hours late and never even turned up, guy on the phone was rude. They even turned their phones off so we couldn’t get in contact with them! Don’t EVER order from them otherwise you will either get cold food or no food.

So, last night was one of those "let's order food because lazing around is my hobby" kind of evenings. The hunger was as real as my wife's disappointment when I promised her a delicious meal. It was Saturday night, the perfect excuse to explore the gastronomical wonders of our local hotspot, Zaks. Little did I know, the place had recently undergone some changes in ownership. As I strolled in, oblivious to the potentially hilarious experience awaiting me, there it was - the first red flag waving proudly in the form of extra charges for sauce. I mean, come on, sauce should be included in the kebab package deal of life, am I right? But hey, no biggie, I'm willing to overlook it if the kebabs are as delightful as my expectations. So, my kebab arrives, and I must say, it was fairly pleasant. The juicy meat twirling on that majestic metal thing was a sight to behold. But let's not forget about the missus and her unfortunate kebab experience. Oh, boy. Her kebab (no pun intended, seriously) resembled a desert oasis in the Sahara - dry and oily at the same time. It looked as if it had taken up permanent residence in that metal tray, next to the spinning meat, for what seemed like an eternity. I couldn't help but wonder if it had been there since the time dinosaurs roamed the Earth. But wait, the absurdity doesn't end there. The yoghurt sauce, the supposed savior of all dried-out kebabs, had a surprise in store for us. It was fizzy. Yes, you read that right - fizzy! I couldn't tell whether Zaks had secretly decided to combine the joys of carbonation with the pleasures of a kebab, or if that sauce had been abandoned long past its use-by date. At that moment, my stomach performed a somersault, and I had to fight back the urge to perform my very own culinary acrobatics. In the end, we survived the night (barely) and now have found ourselves questioning our life choices. Decorating the bathroom porcelain.

Ordered food for delivery at 16:40 via Uber Eats. It's now 19:07 and it's still not arrived! Phoned the restaurant a half an hour ago, and they said it's on its way. Obviously lying! They are now not picking-up the phone. AVOID!!!

Food always arrives in a timely manner and is great! My family and I love to order from here as they’re always great, only ever been in person once or twice but they were very friendly!! Honestly wouldn’t pick any other food place over them these days <3

Got normal donners instead of red phoned up to tell them they hot the order wrong told me they would send two red donners then got a phone call back and told me I would have to pay for their mistake needles to say I'll never be ordering from here again absolutely disgusting and the wrong order I did get was cold 😡🤬 don't waste you money

Delivery Ordered large chips got sent small 2 cans of pop and ordered 3 Chips were cold Nann bread just crumbled into pieces. Salad was more lettuce than anything else.

Donna meat = cold and stale. Chips = cold and soggy Pizza = cold and burnt Just awful.

Didn’t look like they were going to deliver our order after an hour and 40 mins of waiting, so feeling let down we order from somewhere else. They turn up after 2 and a half hours with the order and say ‘it’s a bit late, do you still want this?’. A bit late is an understatement! Never ever ever again. DON’T ORDER FROM HERE.

Used to be really nice a couple years ago. Delivery was roughly on time, and food was delivered hot, however my lamb masala tasted like actual dog food and was inedible (thrown away after two bites) and my friend got food poisoning from the chicken burger. Avoid.

Wouldn't recommend this takeaway walked in for two kebabs was waiting other 30 mins for this to be done myself who is heavily pregnant couldn't sit down due to the delivery drives sat on the customer seats and not once did they offer a seat up had me stood there waiting ages for food to be done bad language was used in store and attitude on the blonde male delivery driver food we got was not the food we orderd kebabs drenched in horrible salty chilli sauce and raw chillies on the other went straight in the bin this place is ran by kids and not worth the money

I’ve tasted a lot of chilli sauce in my life time but this sure had to be the worst chilli sauce I’ve ever had also donner meat is 1mm thin would not recommend

Absolutely shocking service, phoned to check on order was told 15mins, took nearly an hour. Food was cold. Phoned to complain and got told they were busy but also it was a slow night which makes no sense. I've used zaks for years...never will I order from them again. I hope people read the reviews before ordering as you may think twice and rightly so

Absolutely shocking, 3 hours we waited and endless phone calls, kept saying 15mins then rang again for them to say they hadn't even finished making them. Apparently you can't rush the dough!!!! Over 3 hours!!! Still no food. All my guests are starving having only crisps to eat as not been shopping. Well done zaks you have now lost 3 house holds business.

I definitely would not recommend this place. The pizza had tinned mushrooms on that were slimy, the share box was overcooked and the donnermeat felt like you were eating nothing but grit. Cheap and nasty and it cost me £25. The staff and management at this place seriously need some training on standards and food quality. Disgusting

Food is usually good. Not great. Ordered a kabab told an hour. 2 hours later. Rand again. 5 minutes. 29 minutes stil no food . Not happy. Won’t be using them again

Had 2 Asian style mixed kebabs last night. Absolutely brilliant as usual. Really tasty and massive kebabs.

Absolutely awful . Took 2 hours to deliver , we only live 10 minutes away , chicken tikka kebab , mixed kebab and chicken tikka masala curry . The kebabs were too salty , the Nan was like rubber and the curry was a container full of red slop with a couple of pieces of chicken in it . Never again .

How any one gives this food 5star is beyond me. The worst kebab I've ever had. The meat was cold and hard as if it was yesterdays. Now I'm just waiting for the food poisoning to kick in.

Ordered and waited two hours. Phoned twice to ask where it was and told the usual 5 minutes both times...... When the food finally arrived the ice cream was liquid and the hot food was Stone Cold Steve Austin. Phoned to ask for a refund and told nothing wrong with the food. I gave them the opportunity to collect the food and rectify but was pretty much laughed at and told they have 100% customer satisfaction. Don't expect customer service from these guys, expect an over inflated sense of ego. They think they're the best take away around when their food is average at best and customer service is appalling. If you're unhappy the owner's attitude is literally "phone your bank if you want you money back " So do yourself a favour and use PayPal. They always refund you when you get service like this from cowboys. Now on phone to bank to get my hard earned cash back. Won't be ordering here again. None existent customer service and won't admit when they make a mistake. Apparently this business have never had an unhappy customer according the "owner". Guess what pal, your reviews suggest otherwise and I will be getting my dough back. Pun intended you whopper.

Shocking customer service. Order confirmed, then no food after the estimated delivery. Then an email saying food will be 20 minutes late. Then after this time had passed we rang to see how much longer for them to say they hadn't received it. No looking for the order just straight up no we haven't got it and nowt we are willing to do after waiting nearly 2 hours. Will never order from here again.

Ordered from here on Christmas made a comment saying only lettuce and mayo on all my items to get onions and everything esle which caused me to having a ambulance to my house as my other half had a bad reaction to the raw onions rang the take away for them to just say they send new 1s out which I wasn't happy with as why would I wanna eat here again when my other other almost died

Always enjoyed the food but delivery was bad did not get my full order from their app and reply was ring a number which is nothing to do with them. Rude service from zaks very disappointed and i have used them for a long time hence my star rating. Good bye zaks

Favourite all-rounder takeaway, but won't go back. Food is very good, with curries for adults, pizzas for kids etc, but nearly always late, with 2 of the last 3 deliveries taking over 2.5 hours. Last night's order had the wrong pizza and was stone cold. Here's a tip lads, don't take orders you can't fulfil and update customers when you know you're over running. Decent food, rubbish service.

Pizza was not cooked, pizza base base was raw and Doner meat was shredded cuts. Wasted £15 on just eat and takeaway not willing to help knowing sake had been completed. 🖕👎🖕

It took over 2 hours to get our delivery, we where told it was on the way 35 minutes later it showed up cold. Messed our whole night up with no apology. Do not recommend.

absolutely shocking!!! firstly zaks is the only takeaway i ordered from until today! ring and place and order to be told my order will be with me in 45 mins. told them i would pay by card and was told the price. now we all expect them to be late but he turned up 1hr 20 mins late with luke warm burgers and cold sweaty chips. no card machine at 9pm so not only have i waited hour and 20 for food but now i have to wait around for him to bring the machine back. he then brings back the machine to be told its a completely different price to what was told on the phone. i ring up because i order from them previously to be told make a note next time and i will get free chips. 🤣 keep the chips i will never eat from you again. feel absolutely robbed. that food was definitely not fresh or was forgotten and sat in the back of the car while they delivered the rest of radcliffes food. poor poor service. never again!
