Amazing food, very tasty and service was excellent especially from Abu. Complimentary coffee and Baileys at the end of the meal

I've sat in for a meal and cannot fault it, beautiful food and service, however I ordered a take away, very very disappointed. Tough lamb chops, very red with food colouring, raw parathas and a pilau rice that was the colours of the rainbow. I was so very disappointed so I won't be having a take away from them again... Hope next time I go for a sit down meal, the quality will be as great as it always has been... Sorry guys

Usually very nice food, it would be unfair to say the food wasn’t nice, it was tasty but warm at best very very late unfortunately. I will use again generally nice food and on time, but not today !

Wonderful to find such an excellent Indian restaurant here. The service is friendly and relaxed and the menu is extensive and varied although vegetarian options were a bit limited. The food is excellent - worth the wait at the busy time I was there.

We’ve had a lot of takeaways from here but it’s quite expensive, and they’re really stingy on the chutney trays. The food is ok, the meat is sometimes amazing and sometimes only average. For the cost I’d expect amazing every time.

Wasn’t the best to be honest, tiny Nann bread, the box of chips was tiny, yeah shame really, curry wasn’t very flavourful, the onion on the tray was rubbish no flavour at all

Great food and piping hot but my delivery instructions were ignored. I have trouble hearing so asked for a phone call rather than knocking on my door but he knocked anyway.

I ate here with friends midweek which is why we did not expect it to be busy (hence 4* for atmosphere). However, we were all pleased with our food and the service was impeccable. The restaurant is a pleasant place to eat and the prices are extremely reasonable. We would recommend 👌

Stayed in Kegworth for two nights , tried this place for a takeaway last night , lovely food , nice friendly staff , would definitely use this place again

The flavour of food was excellent. However when food arrived its was a mess spilt everywhere, they quickly got us another sent out but asked for the other food back which had already been thrown away due to the mess. When the new order arrived the main was incorrect ordered a prawn curry with potatoes but what I got was more like tandoori prawns. Overall a mixed experience

The restaurant delivered the someone else’s order to me by accident, rang them straight away when we realised - they apologised and told me they were re preparing my order fresh to deliver. It was worth the wait, really tasty food! Also your driver is really charming, thanks for rectifying the mistake! :)

Ordered through Just Eat tonight with a colleague.. A Dhansak and Mushroom rice as part of a larger order. Crap.. Seems like they loaded it with salt rather than sugar maybe.. Too salty to eat. Never again.

Firstly, this place is cash ONLY so make sure you have plenty before you arrive. There is a cash machine in the wall of the Co-Op next door, but no guarantee it will be working of course. We eat a lot of curry, so I think I'm well qualified to review such restaurants. Zaika is clean, warm and the staff are welcoming. The prices though are on the high side, so I expected something a bit special. Unfortunately, on that front, it didn't deliver. The food was OK. My dish was tasty enough, but the chicken tikka was a bit tough for my liking - it had obviously been cooked beforehand and reheated. The portions were definitely not large either. All in all I felt it was not good value for money and, whilst I may go again, I won't become a regular customer.

Just had our first takeaway from here, very average, I ordered chicken tikka madras, hardly any chicken tikka pieces, hardly any chicken in fact and it was not tikka either. Delivery driver was nice though.

All was good. You could have given us a few pompadoms complimentary though. As it was quite a good order.

probably the best Indian I ever had. meat quality you can taste, perfectly spiced.

Mains were delicious - as was the naan and garlic rice. Sides of lamp chops (tough) tiny samosas and oily bhajis spoilt the remainder of the meal sadly.

Food was actually pretty good but the service was atrocious. The app notified us the order had been delivered despite that not being the case - when I called to query, I was made to feel like a massive inconvenience, had to ask for an apology and was then hung up on!

I've used Zaika lots and had several separate issues - missing or incorrect items. The food is really good so I gave the benefit of the doubt each time. This order had an incorrect curry and naan delivered. I rang up and was told that next time I could have £30 off to make up for this and a note had been left on my account/address. When I rang next time to redeem this I was spoken to very rudely, told it couldn't be true as I didn't have the name of the person and the phone was put down on me. I'll never use Zaika again

Good portion sizes but unfortunately on this occasion the curry was very oily and bland, the bombay potato was also very bland. The rice, popodam and chapati was as expected. I would look past the lateness had the meal hit the spot. More than willing to give it another go though as the first meal I had was very good. Hopefully just a blip

The driver was told by restaurant to go to wrong hotel . So delayed our delivery quite a bit , so when did arrive with us was unfortunately luke warm , the food was good but not really as hot as should be

I love the food here but recently there's always a problem with the order. First, there was no onion bhaji as I had ordered. Next time, there were half the popadoms ordered. This time, the order was 25 mins late and the naan was wrong - it had chilli on it so for me it wasn't edible. It's a real shame as the food is great but the service is letting things down recently

Really poor, unfortunately. Order missing sundries, and the curry itself no better than a pre-packaged jar cooked at home. Really disappointing for the price. Would not order again.

Don’t order the Zika Special meat was chewy and just one Prawn loads of onion and loads of grease. Apart from that the other dishes were ok however a bit pricy. Will probably look elsewhere next time

Best Indian takeaway in the area

The driver cant follow instructions, my order clearly had the house number on it yet he still went to the wrong house number. He also knocked that hard on the door i could hear it from inside my house on the otherside of the street, every single house has a doorbell, not impressed with the driver

Delivery estimate says 35-50 mins but said it would arrive in 1h20mins (a lot longer than estimate). 2 items had leaked throughout the bag. Food however tasted good.

If you want fantastic food and excellent service, then come here! The food was outstanding, I had the Kata Lamb Thali, which is a selection of small dishes and it was just delicious!!! The staff were attentive and made sure you had everything you needed. We were a table of 16, and we never felt like we waited for anything. Just fantastic. They were on top of drinks and the food was absolutely delicious. We’ll be back here very soon - can’t recommend it enough ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our first time in this very recently opened restaurant. The food was fantastic. Cooked to suit specific requests. Service was on point, and warm and friendly. A beautiful view of the church following a full redesign with the new owners. Cant wait to go again.

The food was absolutely awesome, most definitely order from these masterchefs.

Thought I would give it a go with it being new to the village, but I’ll stick with Orissa in future. Had to wait for the driver to come back with a missing curry, no flavour, bread like dough.

Bombay potatoes and chicken shashlick were good but lamb rogan didn't have very much meat in it and was a little bit tasteless. It was very very mild definitely wouldn't call it medium.

Okay, we were so excited to try this place having its previous brand as Indian Cottage. We both had Thali trays (one chicken and one lamb) at close to £20 each but were disappointed with the laim flavour, lacking any spice or heat. Pops n pickles first but again, nothing special as straight from the jar. The young guy that looked after us was great and attentitive but his boss….who took our bill uttered the uncomfortable words to each table when presenting card machine ‘how much extra do you want to give ?’ !! Ruined everything and don’t intend coming back. Will just stick with Tee Jaa Jees or just do Donnington 😳 sorry, but just not good enough to be even slightly special

Excellent food well worth a visit

Late, wrong order, very oily and didn’t really taste of anything. Kindly offered to deliver us the correct order at a later date but at 9.30pm when we’ve just got back from holiday that hasn’t helped us today. Delivery driver was very friendly and the guy at the restaurant was very apologetic but wouldn’t order again.

First visit to Zaika Kegworth thought the restaurant was bright and airy whilst still giving atmosphere. Food was well presented and very tasty. Staff were friendly without being over powering. Thought the price was also reasonable. Will definitely be back to dine in or to try a takeaway

Pleasant staff and a well appointed restaurant. The food was really good and it’s definitely worth a visit or a take away. Prices are comparable to Jee Jar Jees, and the food appears good quality. I think it’s a great addition for the village, but the owner let his team down, moving forward he must start to respect those who need the disabled space and should refrain from parking his Bentley in front of the restaurant. If you he is worried about the car, please bring another! Please think about others and your potential customers. My second visit was less inspiring. The staff weren’t very welcoming and I felt in the way waiting for my food. The quality of the food was not consistent with the last visit either. Back to Jee Jar Jees for me I’m afraid. Just feels a bit bland.

Just had takeaway from here and it is one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. High quality ingredients cooked well. Highly recommended!
