I’ve tried quite a few Chinese takeaways in Plymouth, Teignmouth, Exeter and London. I have to say this is undeniably the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had. The staff are always friendly, it’s family run and they take great care in the quality of their food. Can’t recommend enough!

Excellent service. We have ordered from here on numerous occasions and it is by the far the best Chinese in Plymouth. Great value for money and always a quick delivery. Really impressed abs wouldn’t go anywhere else - just wish they were open on Mondays.

When I first moved to the UK I stopped eating Chinese food entirely as all the places I'd tried had nothing but goopy, flavorless offerings where the meat was unidentifiable and had an unappetizing gummy texture. Fortunately, since moving to Plymouth and away from a more rural part of Britain I've found a few places that make good Chinese food. The very best of these is Yummy House on Wolseley Road. Over the last year we've ordered food from the Yummy House at least 20 times now and it has always been amazingly delicious, high quality food. The vegetables in the dishes always taste fresh and full of flavor and the meats are meaty and taste and look like the meats which they are--which might sound like a low bar but with Chinese restaurants isn't to be taken for granted. It appears to be a Chinese family business with parents in the back cooking, a young, bright, cheerful school-aged girl at the counter and a toddler-sized Chinese child under everyone's feet playing or watching videos on a tablet. The veggies aren't overcooked and maintain a nice bit of crunch, the meats in most of the dishes have a beautifully crisp and tasty coating that doesn't turn to mush in any of the various sauces with which they are paired. It really is Chinese food at its best. I've lived in four large cities all bigger than Plymouth elsewhere in the world and had really nice Chinese food before, but I haven't enjoyed any of those as much as I enjoy food from Yummy House.

This is my honest review of so called Yummy House. I had a house special chow mein n my misses had chicken chow mein well all I can say is that after eating Chinese food in many towns and cities of the UK and also abroad too this Chinese takeaway served us the worse chow meins and pancake rolls we've ever had omg I don't even want to give them 1 star as they were that bad totally bland and the ingredients seemed cheap innate never thrown over half of my takeaway away but on this occasion I made an exception as it was absolutely disgusting there was too many small chunks of what I can only describe as SPAM ugh it was terrible the Chinese roast pork was awful it was just slivers of roast pork smothered in sauce no way was that pork slow cooked in lovely sauce like everywhere else! I wouldnt reccomend even feeding my cats or dog this rubbish. All I can say to the previous poster I you've obviously no taste buds pal.... Again i must reiterate there are loads of better chinese takeaways in Plymouth and I was you I go elsewhere!

A quaint looking little 1930s building occupying an earnest little takeaway shop convenient to the western part of North Prospect and the eastern side of Keyham. If you chose to collect hold on tight to the carrier and take care as you vault the railings down the centre of this busy stretch of dual carriageway.

Food is always of a good quality. There is sometimes a wait but no more than 20mins which is to be expected of a popular takeaway and it is always worth the wait. Staff are friendly as well

Hand's down the worst Chinese I've ever eaten. I wouldn't even give it to my dog and this is me putting it politely.

Lovely meal as always - it's such a treat being able to find truly authentic Chinese food in the South West with a huge Vegan selection too. Great service and friendly smiles always from Li. While the prices are slightly higher than average, the quality speaks for itself. You truly get what you pay for here, and it’s worth every penny. I’ll happily recommend Imperial Garden to everyone I know!

food was delicious but I was disappointed that having phoned the restaurant to explain I am allergic to mushrooms they still included them in one dish. We share our order but obviously I was unable to eat that dish
