Yummy House in West Lothian

best Chinese place going in Bathgate, ordered at 7:10pm and had came at 8:45pm On Saturday evening!! which places would have been busy… would defo get company drivers rather then app such as scoffable

Frequent customer (Who deserves a loyalty card) 🤣 Yummy house is amazing Chinese takeaway I always order a portion of rice, chips curry sauce and fried onions with a portion of BBQ ribs and they are both amazing. The bbq ribs just melt in your mouth I've ordered a special curry with fried rice in the past which again is nice. I think I'll be ordering from here tonight..

Thought we'd try it out as they put a flyer through our door, seemed alright. Below average quality food and despite it not being shown anywhere on the flyer they invested money in to, the place is Cash only. Feel free to inspect the attached images but massive oversight on their part. After the pandemic's high points, you really think many people carry cash in the UK anymore? Either update your leaflet (Already thrown away the leaflet but the inside has no mention of it either) and add card payments, walking into the store to then be pointed at a sign saying "Cash only" turned me right off the store before I even tried the food, luckily I had a 20 on me. A good amount of the food ended up in the waste bin, with myself only finishing the boiled rice. Won't be returning.

Went back to a takeaway that I regularly used in the past. The food was freshly made and hot. Still hot when I got home, and the quality and taste was excellent. Brought back happy memories.

Popped in for a takeaway order - yet again a hit to the diet ! - delicious food, quickly prepared and very friendly, polite service. Recommended for a takeaway or delivery service food.

Delivery took some time but was worth the wait,special curry extra spicy wasn't Delivered spicy enough one time I ordered,I called to complain,I was told sorry sir don't give me attitude, I wish your curry was spicy enough to burn the gub clean aff ye, A replacement curry was delivered quickly and it was magnificent, Two currys to me and 5 stars to you, Great place,highly recommend.

Omg bloody awful and very expensive no rice paid for sauce n onions and sauce over 6 quid so disappointing

Ordered beef with black with bean sauce. Only one taste I noticed is salt. The meat was as hard as a stone I was not able to cut it with a knife. Went straight to the bin. I do not recommend this place. Very poor quality food.

Best chinese takeaway in Bathgate and we have tried them all. Excellent large portion sizes. Fantastic prices. Clean piping hot food delivered. Clearlybtake pride in the food the are serving. Would highly recommend

Food was ok but they didn't deliver the bottle of diet coke I paid for and waited over 1hr for. No attempt to redeliver and no offer to refund the undelivered items. Poor show.

Alison is absolutely delusional and one of the very few to complain.The yummy house in Bathgate is without a doubt the best in West Lothian, the food has always been hot and fresh. Always cooked there and then. OK delivery can take up to two hours at worst but I can accept that from somewhere as popular and busy. Alison clearly has issues!!

Waited nearly two hours for a delivery!!

Put order in at 5.05pm was told we were second in queue for delivery, waited1 hour 10 mins for it, meal was cold, chicken is like rubber phoned to complain, weren't very helpful. Delivery driver was rude as well. Wouldn't even give them 1 star but was only way to leave a review!

Hallelujah! My husband and I have been vegan for 3 months, and we have two small children thar still eat normally. It's going well except for disappointing/stressful/non-existant takeaway options meaning we can never have a night off cooking. But now we've finally found a Chinese that cooks great vegan options with high quality fresh, vibrant produce, accommodates special requests, is affordable and..... still has the old favourite my kids love! The customer service is friendly and efficient and it's all round just a wee gem. Thanks so much for the freebies too, a nice touch. So glad we tried somewhere new, my faith is restored! Please do consider doing a veggie/vegan set meal for two!

I live in Whitburn and yet I travel to Bathgate for a Chinese takeaway. The portion sizes are big. Prices are great and the premises are spotless. I would definitely recommend The yummy house.

Two words. FOODBORNE HEPATITIS There is obviously a huge staff hygiene problem in this establishment. I'm lucky to be alive. Please be careful if you eat here.😮

**ATTENTION!** All those who eat here regularly, as I have, please be aware that I have been infected with a food borne virus which is particularly nasty as it attacks the liver. This came about following a curry from here! Within hours I was dangerously ill. This can only be passed to food via stools.Enough said?? Eat here at your own risk!

Great food, delivery can be over 1hr when busy but always hot. Fair prices.
