Yuen Tung in Birmingham

Whenever we’re passing Birmingham, we drop in for barbecue spare ribs and salt and pepper king prawns. I’ve had these dishes all over the world and I tell you what, these are exceptional and right up there, and they’re so consistent so I haven’t had a bad dish yet. Admittedly, I haven’t had anything else from the menu but trust me these dishes are so tasty and fresh. The main guy serving on the counter is lovely as well, what a nice guy, he’s always smiling. I’m looking forward to our next visit, I’m looking for an excuse to pass Birmingham just to go here!

Always a good food served in quick time

We get delivery from here regularly. Absolutely love their box meals, always come piping hot (and I mean HOT like it came out the pan 5 seconds before, 90% certain they cook it in the car on the way). Foods always great.

So embarrassed I told my friend to go here as I had eaten from here a while back and I’ve got to say the food was bland to say the least. We had to add our own sauce to make it edible. I’m not even sure the chicken was real chicken or something else.

Popped into a nice clean shop greeted by a lovely lady, my first time going here today and it was amazing, food was piping hot freshly made and delicious with combination of sauces, veg, chicken and thick cut chips, definitely a place to try!

I ordered Teriyaki beef and szechuan chicken. Beef tastes fine, dish a bit to sweet for my taste but good portion and quality of food. Szechuan chicken one of the best I had. Spicy, but not 'melt your face' spicy. I like it that on uber eats they included pictures and descriptions to quite few dishes! If its not to much to ask for I would like it if they include kcal values for their dishes 😝

Was best iv had in ages was always my favourite place since 70s but few years ago was not the same but now u have returned back to how you was before and even better xxxx

I am not usually a fan of Thai/Chinese Food, due to everything just being thrown together messy and MSG etc! However, this place is actually a little Gem. The lady answering the phone was helpful and useful and she even double checked on the things I said I didn't want to double confirm the online notes (I ordered delivery @ 9:34pm) so close to closing time at 10pm!. Food arrived at 9:57pm. So less than 30 mins wait. Anyways! The food. I ordered: 1. Tofu Sweet and Sticky Box with Half Noodles and Half Salt and Pepper chips. This dish was £8.50. £7.50 and £1 extra for my half and half option of carbs! It did not disappoint! Very tasty, full of flavour and filling! Between 2 of us... We couldn't finish it. The noodles were so delicious, I really didn't need the chips tbh. 2. Vegan Spring Rolls - Wonderful, couldn't go wrong with them. . 3. Mooshi Vegan Brownies. The reason for the 4 stars. This for me as a Vegan wasn't Great. It was more of a pudding made texture, which I disliked. I have made Vegan gluten free brownies that actually come out the same consistency' of normal Brownies. So please work on these so I can try again. Overall though! The vegan options and variety of choice has surpassed me! I will be back! And will update my reviews accordingly! Very good vegetarian options! I usually don't leave reviews but the food is super tasty. The food is valued correctly and you can tell they actually care about their customers. I appreciate the small freebies and quick delivery , and will continue ordering online from them.

Excellent customer service which is one of the main things I look for. The food is so good amazing taste with perfect chilli. I would go again no doubt… keep up the good work

Ordered for me and my children was told could take upto an hour, 2 hours later no food and the shop took the phone off the hook, constantly engaged. Absolute pisstake. When finally spoke to someone no apology and just told to cancel the order. Will definitely not be ordering from here again!! Awful customer service

The worst chow mein I've ever had it had absolutely no taste to it and I left abit in the container by the next morning it stunk like it had gone off food shouldn't do that over night there's been plenty of times we've eaten Chinese the next day and it's always been fine I wouldn't order from here again waste of money

I would put 0 stars but unfortunately that's not an option. I ordered food from here for delivery, the order was confirmed and all, but an hour later when the food was supposed to arrive the order was cancelled without a refund. I called the place up and was told the delivery was refused at the door and that they tried to contact me however that was all a lie. On the phone, the employee was arguing that I should take it up with über although that was their own mistake. Bad service, wouldn't order again. Definitely wouldn't recommend, highly unreliable.

We've used yuen tung for many years and always had the basic curry, rice, noodle, mixed veg, chips, ribs and always good. The last fews months we've been having different dishes and believe me it's been fantastic their chef specials, salt and pepper dishes and duck dishes are amazing. Food always hot and on time.

Best Chinese around , from munch bowls to munch boxes and everything in between roger and rose have got the game sorted , salt and pepper chicken and the twin fried rice and those special chips are the finest , nobody else offers this kind of menu of service .

Being using this takeaway for over 20years rose and Gordon the owners always accommodate my order as I have to have peas in my beefcurry and the food is amazing won't eat or trust any other Chinese apart from yuen tung you want excellent food use yuen tung

Have used this place for many years,food is tasty and they dont shy on the meat portions...its allways busy which is allways a good sign.
